Sneak peak at next chapter of what might have happened .......

Footsteps sounded behind the mast, pulling my turmoiled thoughts away from the man holding me. Never had I more wanted to ignore the reality of my existence, but unfortunately reality had a way of catching up to us. Internally sighing, I moved to extricate myself from his embrace, pushing him away, at least that was my intention. Somehow this man's touch had a way of convincing me to go along with the innocent pleasure he was providing. Losing myself in his ardour, forgetting completely the approaching footsteps, that is, until the voices sounded. Jerking myself away from him, I looked into his stormy gaze, my chest heaving with the effort of catching my breath. He opened his mouth to speak, only to be disturbed by the call of 'Captain' from behind us, turning away from his distractions, I composed myself before nodding at the man who had fortunately stopped my actions before I could come to do something I was sure to regret. Walking away from him, ready to play my role in this adventure, I rid my thoughts of all that had to do with the man who had just held me so gently in his strong arms, but that was easier said than done, the tingling in my lips would not cease, and so my thoughts walked along the same lines...
