Gred and Forge?

17 ~ Midnight Shopping.

We landed unsteadily on our feet as we came out of the fireplace at Diagon Alley after using the flu network.

"Okay we have 2 hours" Fred said pulling me towards the nearest shop, which just so happened to be Gambol and Japes Joke shop.

I let him drag me through the doors of the now quiet and nearly empty shop. I just couldnt get those words out of my mind.

"Where's mummy"

I shook my head trying to get rid of the image and began looking for presents. This shop was perfect for the twins I thought as I walked down the aisles looking for some joking material.

I grabbed some dungbombs, sugar quills, Filibusters fireworks and 2 large Joke kits. Then for Alex I grabbed a colour changing teddy bear and a bouncy swing I found near the back of the store.

For Izzy I picked up a toy broomstick which flew a foot off the ground a pygmy puff and a toy wand.

I payed for everything quickly then put them into my backpack which had an expandable charm before Fred could see them.

I walked between the aisles to see Fred eyeing up the very joke set I had just bought. I smiled to myself as I walked towards Fred and started pulling him towards the door.

"Come on" I whispered into his ear intertwining my arm with his and dragging him towards honeydukes.

There were shelves upon shelves of the most succulent looking sweets imaginable. Creamy chunks of nougat, shimmering pink squares of coconut ice, honey coloured toffees, hundreds of different chocolates in neat rows and a ton more.

"Wow" fred and I said at the same time

I grabbed as much as I could. Boxes of bertie botts every flavour jelly beans, chocolate frigs, fizzing whizzbees, levitating sherbet balls that Ron had mention to me. Packets of droobles, pumpking pasties, chocolate wands and exploding bonbons.

I emptied the items in my arms onto the counter and payed the lady behind the counter giving her a warm smile as she counted the money I had given her.

Once Fred had payed we exited the shop and headed towards Flourish and Blotts to by books for Hermione and then to twilfitt and Tattings wear I bought a few clothes for Alex and Izzy.

We were just about finished when I spotted something in Magical Menagerie. There was a sign inside.

I dragged a confused looking Fred towards the door and up to the till.

"Hi do you still have any kittens for sale?" I asked the man hopefully.

He shook his head "I'm sorry miss the last one sold not long ago" the smile on my face dropped and i started to turn towards the door when he called me back.

"I do have a puppy. Very small and already fully grown. Very friendly" he said sounding desperate to sell it.

I turned back and smiled following him to the corner of the room to where a large cage was sitting and in that large cage was a tiny puppy. He was a black and white cocker spaniel with a white spot on his head.

He was gorgeous. Watching him play with his chew toy was too cute and I fell in love with him. I picked him up out of the cage while Fred grabbed a bowl, bed, collar, lead, toy and some food.

I payed the man and we walked out of the store.

"Fred, thankyou for this" I said kissing him on the cheek. As I pulled away he grabbed my face and pushed his lips onto mine. I smiled into the kiss feeling happier than ever.

"Come on lets get a quick ice cream before we head back" Fred said leading us towards the ice cream parlour.

We sat at the tabke tucking in to our ice creams. Mine a chocolate and raspberry and Freds an Earl and Lavendar. We talked about all different things while the new puppy sat on my lap sleeping peacefully. That was until fred brought up the dreaded subject.

"So..eh.. How have you been coping with... Everything?" He asked slightly nervous.

I looked down into my tub of ice cream taking another spoonful think about how to reply. I swallowed and ooened my mouth to say "I'm fine" but nothing came out. No sound at all. The tears began to well up in my eyes and my mouth began to tremble.

"She asked me where mum was. Izzy, just before we left... I... I... Didnt know what to say."i whispeeed quietly trying to stop the teara from falling.

Fred pulled his chair closer to mine and putbhis arms around me while I sobbed silently into his shoulder. He stroked my hair telling me everything was going to be okay.

Once I had calmed down and we had finished our ice cream we stood up ready to leave.

"Shit. Hide" Fred whispered loudly looking for somewhere to hide.

"Fred what on earths going on" I asked looking around before my eyes landed upon the red headed couple outside. Oh no It's Mr and Mrs Weasley.

Fred pulled me towards the counter "Sorry but do you have a back door we can use?" Fred asked the man desperately. He smiled and pointed to the left where a small door stood, we thanked him and ran.

Running as fast as we could, Fred had my backpack and I had the puppy. We kept running until we got back to the grate we hoped in, grabbing the flew powder and shouting hogwarts whirling off before Freds Parents could catch us.

We landed in the fire place of the unused classrom with a tumble. Letting out the breath we had been holding. We turned to each other looking at each others faces before bursting into laughter.

"Th-that was brilliant" I said as we stood up still laughing.

We quietly made our way back to the common room having to wake up the Fat lady, who was not pleased might I add (I've been waiting for you two to return all night where the bloody hell were you?) To ger back in.

By now I was exhausted and I let out a huge yawn.

"Il take the puppy and keep him in my room until christmas then you can surprsie Izzy. I nodded opening my backpack and handing Fred the pups new bed and belongings.

"Did I ever tell you your the best?" I said as I wrapped my arms around Freds waist leaning my head in his chest. He chuckled and I could feel it vibrating against my head.

"Nope but I knew I was the best anyway" he said kissing my forehead and making his way up the stairs to the boys dorm.

"Night love" he said blowing me a kiss. "Night" I replied mid yawn before heading into my dorm to see a sleeping Hermione with 2 little tots sleeping beside her.

It was sooo cute.

I lifted Alex up and placed him into his cot then lifted Izzy and did the same. Kissing them both on the cheek I dressed in my plaid pyjama bottoms and plain white t-shirt which i had stolen from Fred and climbed into my cosy bed and drifting into a dreamless sleep.
