The remaining few weeks before Christmas flew by and before we knew it most of the atudents had returned home. except for me, the Weasley, harry and of course Izzy and Alex

It was Christmas eve.

I was currently sitting on the floor of my dorm with Izzy wrapping all of the presents. Alex was napping in his cot and fred and George were off pranking Snape.

Alex and Izzys presents were hidden under my bed and the puppy who might I add was still nameless, was still hiding out in the Twins dorm so we were going to surprise Izzy with it tomorrow.

I had just finished wrapping Fred and Georges Christmas presents when they came bounding through the door slamming it shut behind them.

I jumped slightly from the floor and looked at the door then to hear an almighty wail coming from the cot. I glared at the twins as I went and picked the upset child up in order to settle him.

"Sorry" the twins said looking guilty as they sat down beside Izzy.

"Dont worry about it" I said in an annoyed tone. "Hey mind Izzy I'll be back soon" I said heading out to door with a bottle a book and a wailing baby.

-------------------------

I found myself in the astronomy tower looking out over the grounds of Hogwarts. Alex was resting on my bent knees drinking happily from his bottle while I was trying to read my book. Romeo and Juliet.

At this moment in time I was contemplating life.

I was trying to figure out a future for me and my siblings. Could we live with the weasleys forever? Can I support them when we are older?

I looked at my watch. It was 3 in the afternoon and already the cold sun was beginning to descend in the sky.

Alex had finished his bottle and I was just about to get up ready to leave.

"The view really is beautiful up here"

I jumped slightly turning round to reveal professor McGonagal.

"Oh professor you scared me there, is everything alright?" I asked her worriedly.

"Oh yes fine dear, I just like coming up here, you know the sunset really is beautiful" she said.

"Yea I never knew how incredible the view was from up here" I looked out the window admiring the lake, I could see Hagrid walking towards the castle with his dog Fang trailing behind him.

"Miss Flynn, if you dont kind me asking. How have you been... Since..." She aksed me trailing of slightly at the end.

I looked down at the sleeping baby in my arms and thought to myself, how have I been coping?

I didn't really have an answer.

"You know, when I was younger I lost someone very close to me" she said "It was awful. I really did struggle to get over the tragedy but I see what grief does, how it strips you bare, shows you all the things you don't want to know. That loss doesn't end, there isn't a moment where you are done, when you can neatly put it away and move on. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

the words embedded into my brain. those words were the most inspiring words that i had ever heard.

"well, if you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask" she said as she walked down the stairs.

It was dinner time and the great hall was nearly empty. everbody was long gone including Hermione.
