Chapter 4: Some Time Alone

Hajime's POV

After a couple rides, Chiaki was already tired. She decided to go to bed early, leaving Komaeda with me.

"So Hajime, what should we do now?" Nagito asked as we walked by ourselves. "I'm pretty hungry, and I'm sure Teruteru must've cooked something, want to go get something to eat?" I asked as my stomach grumbled. Nagito giggled and nodded his head.

A couple minutes later

I took a big bite of my sandwich. "Teruteru really can cook!" I said satisfied. "Yeah, this bagel is amazing!" Komaeda responded. We both laughed at the fact that he was eating his third bagel.

Until now, I never realized how cute Komaeda looked while eating a bagel.. I thought to myself. Did I just say that? What's wrong with you Hajime! I said in my thoughts.

I felt my face become hot, from my thoughts. Komaeda noticed and touched my forehead with his right hand.

"We should get you to bed! You're really hot!" Komaeda told me.

He called me hot! What is wrong with me today?!

I jumped out my seat, and tried to get away from the awkward situation. I felt Komaeda's hand grab mine, and I knew I wouldn't be going anywhere.

"Where are you going?" Komaeda questioned me, tightening his grasp. "N-No where! I just needed to use the bathroom!" I quickly answered. "Liar.." He whispered in my ear as he pushed me against a wall.

I felt his body press against mine as he held both my arms. We stared into each other's eyes. My heart was beating faster than before. I could tell Komaeda didn't know what to do next. Suddenly, I noticed our faces getting closer while each second passed. I didn't know what to do, but it felt...right. For whatever reason, it felt right...

"As soon as I get in bed, I'm gonna devour you!" I heard a familiar voice. Komaeda and I froze in our position, and turned our heads to the left. It was Kazuichi Souda.

"Hey guys! Did I come at a bad time? Sorry!" Souda apologized. Komaeda and I separated quickly. "No its okay Souda! W-We were just..well.." I stuttered. "Don't worry you two! I'll be staying for a bit, the two of should head to your cottages! And I'll see you tomorrow Hajime." Komaeda winked at me.

I walked to my cottage with Souda. It was quiet for a bit, until Souda asked me a question.

"Hajime, have you ever thought of, you know, being with a guy?" Kazuichi asked. "Look Souda, you're a nice guy and all, but..." I began to say. "No idiot! Not me, I was talking about Nagito!" Souda yelled. "Oh, sorry. Wait, Nagito? I've never thought about that..." I told him. "You do know you could've pushed him away, why didn't you?" Souda questioned. "I guess I just didn't want to.. I mean it didn't come to mind at the time." I answered. Kazuichi nodded.

We arrived at Souda's cottage. "Heh.. Of all people on this planet, you fall in love with him." Kazuichi whispered. I gave him a confused stare. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow, and have fun devouring all that food!" We laughed. After that I continued to walk to my cottage.

"Of all people on this planet, you fall in love with him." What did Souda mean by that?

I just shook the thought off. I dropped myself on bed and fell asleep.

The next day

*Knock Knock*

"Ugh... Who is it?" I groaned. "Who else?" Komaeda answered. I hopped off my bed and opened the door. "Good morning Hajime!" Komaeda smiled. "What's up with you?" I rubbed my eyes. "Nothing!" Komaeda giggled.

I knew Komaeda was happy about something, but I was to tired to find out.

"I'm going to get dressed, then we can go eat breakfast." I told Komaeda, while pointing to my bed. "Go sit down and wait. Don't touch anything." I warned him. He just kept smiling and sat down.

I quickly took my shirt off and looked for my button up shirt.

Komaeda's POV

I sat down on Hinata's bed, and waited for him. I watched as he changed his clothes. I couldn't help but stare at him. Unfortunately, he noticed, and left the both of us blushing insanely.

"Could you not stare at me?" He asked still red. I just laughed. "Its cute when you blush, do you know that?" I teased him. He turned away embarrassed.

A couple minutes later

Hajime finally finished changing and we were walking to the dining hall. The whole time, I kept teasing him. It was adorable how red he could get.

How cute can Hajime be?

I smiled at him, while he rolled his eyes. I missed teasing him.
