rests for the day
Flashback
Ventus laid in his bed, the birds chirping silently out the window. He turned his head to the window and stared out at the glare. "Mom stop!" Ventus closed his eyes. "Mom!" All he could see "Mom please!" all he could hear. "Mom stop!" was "Help me..." rejection.
Ventus threw his bag down on the couch and plopped down on it and sighed. "I'm home mom! Is dad still at work?" Lulu stepped out from the kitchen. "Ventus, what's this?" Lulu threw down the small journal on the coffee table. "My...journal?" Ventus shook slightly, grabbing the book to the see the destroyed and the pages all crunched up. "Mom did you-" "How could you...?" Ventus looked down at the book to see that he wrote about his crushes a lot. "M-Mom I'm sorry I didn't wanna hide-" "Shut up! You're no son of mine!" Ventus scooted back as Lulu approached him. "Go upstairs." Ventus went to grab the journal slowly, but was stopped. "Don't. Touch the journal, just go." Ventus glanced at her for a moment then stood up and headed upstairs. He went to go to his room, glancing at the lit bathroom, the water was running. Ventus looked around and shrugged, walking in and going to strip to take a nice, warming bath. Maybe his mom was trying to "cleanse" him, he didn't know. Ventus turned his head to see Lulu slowly stepping up the stairs. "Oh you're going to take a bath...?" Ventus stepped back as Lulu stepped in the bathroom. "Y-Yeah..." Lulu smiled. "My son will be pure once again." Lulu pushed him in the water, causing a large splash. Soon Ventus was head first in the steaming water, his head being pushed in the water as Lulu held him tight. Ventus tried to grip her off of him, he swung his hands around and clawed at her hands, which resulted in her pushing him deeper in. Soon the world became blurred. His hearing became weak...his breath was running out...his eyes were closing...his will power was fading. "Lulu!" darkness.
Ventus fluttered his eyes open to look around and see his father giving him mouth to mouth. Ventus coughed out water on his side as he was desperate for breath. Wakka smiled and held his son tight. "Don't worry, we're getting you out of here, don't worry...don't worry..." Lulu was on the ground with claw marks on her hands and arms, sobbing on the ground, soaked.
"Ventus, you remember what to do?" Ventus nodded slightly. "Alright, now I'm gonna dunk you down in the grass, are you ready?" Ventus nodded again. He was nervous, he was always nervous, his legs shook some even this time. Wakka ran behind him and pushed his head in the grass as Ventus instinctively tried to grip free. He lightly smack Wakka in the head as Wakka let go and stepped back, Ventus scrambling to stand again. "If she ever does that again, you gotta hit harder to knock her out." "Your wedding ring..." Ventus glanced over at Wakka's ringless hand. "I'm not going back Ventus, if I went back you'd see your mother everyday, that's dangerous." "Why did this have to happen to me? I didn't choose to be gay...I just..." Wakka walked over to him and smiled, placing a hand on his head. "Don't be so down on yourself, it's how your mother has always been, she always despised of gays." "Doesn't New Yevon disagree on gay?" Wakka nodded. "Sometimes New Yevon isn't always right son, I'll always fend for my blood." "Even if it's against New Yevon?'
The water has become so natural to get dunked in, yet so horrifying. This time was so much different, Lulu was prepared. She had cut up Ventus' hands. "Mom stop!" Ventus' words were muffled by bubbles of water. Ventus felt around the ground with his one free hand. He closed his eyes and remembered his training, his self defense. Ventus clenched his fist and punched the temple of Lulu's head, suddenly the pressure was gone and Ventus lifted his head and looked over at Lulu. Blood. Knew they shouldn't have floors like that.
"Considering everything you went through, and the fact that you almost got arrested for second degree murder, I think it's best you go to this school." Ventus kept his head down, playing with the cuffs he became so adjusted to. "And since you were test scores were so exceptional, we decided to move you in the lowest college level." Ventus was unresponsive. "Are you asleep?" the man in the suit that Ventus could never remember the name of. "No" "Good, now this school is for the troubled, we'll be putting you in the mentally troubled area." "Might as well put me in a mental asylum." "It's far from that Ventus." Ventus looked up. "And the others are?" "Experienced in difficult situations." "So nuts?" "No Ventus, not nuts." Ventus clicked his tongue. "Ventus try to be nice to them." "If I do? What do I get in return?" "Friendship." "Friendship? I want something legitimate." the man sighed. "It really is a shame, really, I remember when you would come into school everyday with a large grin on your face and a group full of friends, whenever I came back to the school every year, I saw you grow from freshmen year to senior year, and you were always so happy, though people always told me that one day you arrived you at school and you were never the same again, everyone misses you, the real you, everyone loved the real you-" Ventus stood up and kissed him on the lips for a moment, the man kissed back. "There, you got what you wanted, now stop spewing useless crap and bring me to the fucking school."
