13. Motion Sickness (Cristiano Ronaldo)
Days flew by, and dating Cristiano had never been better. A smile would never wipe off my face at the slight mention of his name. He'd been by my side the entire time, and things were going perfectly.
We had our first date on Saturday, today being Monday, and he had taken me out to a late dinner. (I had gotten Fernando and Adele to take care of Adam for me, the on call nanny got sick.) We were in semiformal wear for the event, and I honestly couldn't picture anything else more magnificent.
Not only did he take me out to a fancy dinner, but afterwards we went to get dessert at the Cold Stone creamery. Then we took a moonlit walk in Central Park, and much later that night we went dancing. I hadn't had so much fun in my life with just one man. I was just too happy we were back together.
Since the premier of Inception was coming up soon, Cristiano and I had to pack clothes to get ready for it. We'd be traveling to places like L.A., Paris, and all those places for the movie. Unfortunately, not anyone of them was in order so we had to go to California, then back to New York, to Europe and back. But I couldn't complain, I'd be seeing many friends of mine there.
"Is it safe for a baby to go on a plane so young?" I asked once more as Cristiano hauled the some luggage over his shoulder. He chuckled at my anxiousness, and kissed my forehead, before exiting the room.
I couldn't stop worrying about little Adam. What if he gets a fear of planes as he grows up? Or if he gets nauseous? Maybe he'll even pass out from how high we were, and drop into a coma!
"You need to relax." Cris tried soothing me when he came back from outside. He volunteered to help put the luggage in the car. Thank goodness, I wasn't too high up in the building. Besides, I dislike heights.
I groaned in reply, and fell flat on my couch. My face was planted against the pillow whining some more. I felt two quiet big and muscular hands gently massage my shoulders. Surprisingly, it helped ease the tension. I didn't even know I was this tense.
"You're tense." He commented, continuing what he was doing. He and I could both feel myself relaxing from it.
"No shit sherlock." I muttered, moving my head out of the pillow.
"Language."
"Since when did that matter?"
"Never really." I could feel him shrug. I turned my body over to face him when I felt better. I thanked him, and we just stayed on the couch for a while. Adam was sound asleep in his room. He'd kept me up since two o clock in the morning the night before. I think he knew we were going somewhere the next day so he was acting up.
"He's never been away from home you know." I stated the fact, circling random figures on his hand.
"Yeah I know, but look on the bright side, he could grow up saying he went to L.A."
"He won't even remember it." I rolled my eyes sitting up. The clock read 1:30 and our flight would leave in less than two hours.
"We should get going." Cristiano's eyes followed where mine were looking, then back to me. I nodded in agreement, and stood up to stretch out my limbs.
My clothes were comfy sweats from Victoria's Secret, and my shoes were UGGs. I wasn't in the mood to dress all fancy, besides we were going on a plane anyway. Why dress in skinnies?
I grabbed my LV bag, packed with my iPhone, some candy, a book, earphones, make up, my wallet, passport, and the ticket itself, off the side table, and walked to Adam's room. Shoot. I didn't want him to wake up.
Gently, I picked him up, and rested his head on my shoulder. One arm supported his back, and neck, whilst the other was lifting him up. Walking out, I double checked to see if everything needed was taken, and nothing was out of place. Once I knew it was good, I walked out and had Cris turn the lights off and lock the door.
"Don't worry I have the baby bag." He lifted a green and yellow bag by it's strap, when he saw my distressed face. I thought I had actually forgotten it.
With the premiers going on, and not to mention Adele's birthday coming up, I was so stressed out. And I have intentions of moving back to Madrid with Cristiano's because he still plays for Real Madrid, and I no longer want to keep him away from that. So with moving, planning, and lack of sleep, I doubt there was anything that could get worse. Too much stress made me worry to much, I overreacted to the little things nowadays.
It seemed like Cris was the only pick me up in my days.

After going through airport security, and all that jazz, I finally got to have a good hour or two of sleep on the plane. Adam was being taken care of by Cris so I knew I could trust him.
Once I woke up, I started going over some birthday plans for Adele. I knew she liked small parties, so family and close friends were going to be the only people attending, she liked chocolate cake with strawberry icing, and I knew she was itching for a new MacBook.
Lately, she's being distant with me. And by lately, I mean this has been going on for half a month. It was really bugging me, she was fine for awhile with me but then the next day it was just like, BAM. Cold shoulder here, and awkward silences there. It was like she resented me for some reason, I couldn't put my finger on. I didn't want to bother her about it, growing up with her I just knew it would get her even more pissed.
The only other person I confided with that issue was my Mother. But she was hardly any help at all, she would just shrug her shoulders, not knowing what to say to me. But ranting on and on about how it was bugging me to her helped, I mean she listened, she just never gave me a solution.
"Ade?" Cristiano's voice cut through my train of thought. I dropped my pen and notepad onto my lap, and looked at the man holding my child.
"You tired? I can hold him if you want." I whispered, not waiting for any answer. Reaching over to get Adam, Cris turned away from me, and chuckled.
"No. No. I was just wondering, are you really ready to move to Madrid? I mean this is a big step."
"Is there something you don't want me to see there..." I trailed off. This was odd coming from him, he was the one who suggested we move, together, back in Madrid. Sure, it seemed too fast considering the fact that we've only been together for a couple days, but it felt so right. Never had I felt this strong for a man before in my life. I didn't even feel like this with Joseph, and we all know how that was like.
"No, no. It's just, you're young." He began. I rolled my eyes. You wouldn't believe how man times I've heard this 'You're too young,' speech ever since I've announced I was moving two days ago. Calls from my parents, Fernando and Joseph put their two sense in it, and Mari called. Although, Mari called to make sure I gave her back a souvenir.
"Don't even start with that, I've heard it far too much." I held up my hand to silence him. He shut his mouth, and nodded. I bit my lower lip, to keep from smiling when I realized something.
"What?" Cris noticed my look after a short while. His face was genuinely confused, and that just made me laugh more. He was just too cute! "Whaaat?" He asked once more.
"You're whipped." I whispered, sticking my tongue out through my teeth, with the smile still on my face.
"What?" He leaned over to try and hear more clearly.
"I said 'you're whipped.'" I repeated myself.
"Am not." He pouted. I rolled my eyes, and pushed his face away from me.
"Yeah right." I scoffed at him. Cris looked offended, and I gave in. Leaning up, I pressed my lips against his for a quick kiss.
"You're the one who's whip." He muttered against my lips.
I could only smile, and kiss him again.
