We got home and I thanked my mom and ran off to my room.
It was all starting to get to me. I peered down at my wrists and could see faded scars.
I won't do it again.
I repeated it over and over inside my head.

Flashback
It was my grade 9 year. They all said things would change in high school. That people changed and they would stop bullying me.
Well, that didn't happen. Although I thought it had. His name was Jake, he had asked me out, about a month into the school year. I wasn't sure what to think of this but I said yes because I was naive.
We dated for a couple of weeks, before one day in the cafeteria in front of the entire school he stood up, laughed in my face and told me how pathetic I was. I ran out of the cafeteria crying and walked home that day. And I tried to kill myself, my mom found me though before it was too late.

I laid face down on my bed and cried, after about 20 minutes I got up, took my iPod and put my headphones in my ears. I turned on some music and fell asleep.
The next day
I woke up and looked at the time, 9:30am. I was glad it was Saturday but dreaded the fact that on Monday I would have to go back in and face everyone. I bit my lip and sat up checking my phone for any notifications.
I got onto YouTube and watched a few videos but eventually got bored and began listening to music again, when I seen I had a message from my friend Chiara.
How are you?
I'm okay I guess, you?

Chi was the only real friend I had. Even though she lives halfway across the world from me. I always found it easier to make friends online than in my own town because everyone here hates me. Chi is from Germany and I am from Canada. We met in some chat room and instantly became great friends. She's helped me through a lot of my bad days.
