We arrive at the battlefield and I see most of the packs already here. Attack! I call running at the nearest rouge. I hear snarls all around; howls of pain and agony coming from not only the rouges. Violet attacks a rouge near my side and I glance at her time to time. The rouge she took on was small and I knew she could easily take it. I bite the neck of the rouge I was attacking. He snarls and goes to bite me but I push him away. I leap onto him, knocking him to the ground. I bite his shoulder, feeling the blood explode into my mouth. He yelps as I bite harder. I release his shoulder and grab his neck in my jaws. I pull hard until I hear the snap. I release the lifeless form and look over to see my mate defeat her enemy.
I nod before I feel a huge weight come down on my back. I quickly roll, getting it off. I turn to face my enemy. It's a female and her eyes are fully black with rage. She looks to the wolf I had just killed and I see deep sorrow in her eyes. He must have been her mate. I feel bad for her, but she is my enemy. I attack her when she's not expecting me. I brake her neck, ending her life quickly. Not even a rouge deserved that pain. I was doing her a favor. I turn and see Violet fighting another wolf. He is much bigger than her. I growl lowly but before I can step in another rouge attacks me. I snarl at it and lunge at him. He dodges my attack and goes for my neck. I barely move in time for him to miss me. I push him to the ground and snap my jaws down on his throat. Blood pours from his mouth as he struggles.
I keep hold until his body goes limp and his heart stops. I release him and turn to see my mate under the rouge. He goes to bite into her neck but I'm quicker. I leap onto his back, pulling him away from her. I rip my claws into his side and I bite his leg. I'm even bigger than this one. I see Violet stand up and shake out her fur. She looks at me and then runs over, helping me kill the rouge. Be careful love. Some of them are to big for you to handle. I tell her. She nods and licks my face. But I have you. She says. I nod as I turn to face another rouge. If that rouge I fought before had been any stronger I wouldn't have gotten to you on time. I confess. I feel her rush of fear but then confidence. I'll be alright. Let's get this dealt with so we can go home. I give her a wolfy grin then nod, leaping out at another rouge.
The battle continued for hours and when night came, the rouges seemed to just vanish, slowly getting away. I hear snarling coming from a crowd. I look at Violet who looks confused by this. She is covered in blood but I know none of it is her own. I walk towards the crowd of wolves with Violet at my side. I weeve my way through and at the center I see a rouge girl in human form curled up. I growl but then look at the wolf who is standing over her, protecting her. Fred what is the meaning of this?! I snarl. He looks to me with sad eyes. I can't let you kill her! Please Heath she is my mate! I take a step back, slightly shocked. I step closer and he prepares himself. I turn to the crowd and bark, telling them enough.
I see Pete come through everyone in human form. He looks pissed. "What the hell are you doing protecting a rouge?" He snarls, glaring at Fred then me. I look over and see Violet coming over to me, now in human form. She hands me shorts and hands a pair to Fred as well. I shift and quickly pull them on. "We cant kill her. She is his mate." I tell him. He looks beyond shocked. Fred was in human form now and I watched him lean down to the girl. I watch Violet lean down beside her and wrap a blanket around her. She will make a fine Luna. "But she is a rouge!" Pete exclaims. I growl. "No, she is now a member of my pack. You touch her and you'll be fighting me." I snarl back. I feel Violet's hand on my back and I calm down. Pete frowns, but nods.
I turn to Fred and the girl who is clinging to him. "I need to talk to her." I tell him. He looks up at me and nods slowly. He picks her up and follows me. Violet stays at my side. We get to a more private area and I turn. "You need to tell us what they are planning next." I say in a stern but gentle voice, trying not too scare her. She looks up at me. "They will attack again.. In the middle of the night.." I hear her say. I growl. "What is their purpose?" I ask. She looks up at Fred who gives her a warm smile and a nod. "They want more territory.. They have been taking out small packs.. My pack was one of the ones that got taken over. They... They have my sister! She's only 10! I have to go back or they will kill her!" She cries. I frown. This was tricky. I find myself pacing back and forth, thinking.
I stop and turn back to them. "I've got an idea. Freddy, you're going into the enemey lair." I say. He looks shocked. "What?" He asks. I sigh. "We need to free her sister, and any others being held prisoner there. She's your mate, so I'm sending you." I tell him. He frowns. I sigh. "You go tonight. Say you freed her because she is your mate. That you wish to join then to be with your mate. They will believe it because a wolf would do anything for their mate. We set you up with a tracker before you leave and we bust in and take them by surprise." I explain this and he looks a bit worried. "What if they kill us both when we arrive?" He asks. I look away, not sure what to say. "They won't. The rouge Alpha wants as many fighters as he can get. He would do anything for more warriors. You are a Delta. He would want you especially." The girls says. I nod. "Then its settled. You will leave at once." I tell him. He nods slowly.
I walk over to where I had told Alex to put my bag. I reach into the bag and pull out a chain necklace. "I want you to wear this. It's a tracking device. It will tell me exactly where you are. We will rescue your mates sister." I say, handing him the chain. "It doesn't look like a tracker." He says, flipping it around in his hands. "That's the point. Put it on." I tell him. He does so then nods. "I'm ready." He says. I nod and look between them. "Stay safe. I promise we will be there shortly after you." I tell him. He nods then grabs her hand and runs into the forest. I turn to Violet. "You ready for this little one?" I ask, brushing hair from her face. She nods. "Yes, lets beat some rouge tail!" She cheers. I chuckle at her innocence and nod. "I need to tell everyone else what's happening, come on." I say, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards everyone else to explain the plan.
