John, are you trying get yourself killed? We all know this is not the case and that is the only reason I am not yelling right now. I suppose you must just be afraid of admitting you really like Dave, but this is no excuse. Now stop lying to yourself and realize you have a crush on Dave! You don't want to make me mad, do you?
You shake your head. How silly of you! You don't have a crush on Karkat! You have a crush on Dave! You can't tell him though. For sure he wouldn't like you anymore if you did. You wouldn't get to look at his amazing red eyes anymore!!! You would also lose your bestest bro in the whole world.

You are now Dave Strider. You can hear your best friend panting on the other side of the phone. He has just finished his tirade about how he has a crush on Karkat, but he really doesn't, he actually has a crush on you and you are pretty sure John thought he was only thinking these thoughts.
You decide to tell him otherwise. "I like you too, bro."
You hear John suddenly stop breathing and then a click. He hung up. You sigh. You grab your jacket and go to John's house.

You shove your face into your pillow. You have probably just ruined your friendship with Dave and now you must cry into a pillow.
You hear a knock on the door. Maybe Jane is here!! She could be a helpful friend!!!!
You run downstairs and open the door. Dave is standing there in all his amazing ironic coolness. You run away and lock yourself in your room. Then you remember the door. You left it open. Oopsy daisies.
Be Dave Strider.
You are now Dave Strider. You run up the stairs and knock on John's door.
"Hey John, open up."
"NO!!!"
"Open up or else I will kick down this door! Just because it's a stronger door this time doesn't mean I won't be able to!!"
You hear John's footsteps as he pads over to the door and opens it. He is clearly distraught. He must actually think you don't like him.
"What do you want Dave?"
Instead of answering, you pull John into a hug.
"Huh? What? I thought you would hate me!"
"No you derp, I like you too."
"More than bros?"
"More than bros," you confirm. John's arms wrap around you. You could get used to this.
Sadly, it doesn't last because John's dad decides to come home early right then. Oh fun. Now you have to explain that you are going to ask John out on a date in front of him. This should be interesting.
