I wake up from the noise of someone knocking on the door of my hut.

"Come in" I call and get up. It's Newt.
"How did I get here?" I ask and rub my eyes.
"You fell asleep on my shoulder yesterday. I carried you in here and shut the door." He explains.
My mouth twitches up. "I'm sorry. And thank you."
"It's okay." Newt smiles a bit.

"If I want to shower, where can I do that? And where can I wash or change my clothes?"
"There are some lakes and waterfalls in the woods, if you don't mind that it's bloody freezing.
I can show you where and I can also get you some clothes; though I don't suppose they sent up some hoodies for women size S."
I laugh and thank him.

He leads me out of the hut.
"What time is it?"
"We don't really have time here, but it's somewhere in the earlier morning.
There's still like... an hour to go until the maze doors open."
We arrive at the wooden house next to the kitchen.
He opens one of the boxes and pulls out a pullover which isn't that different to the hoodie I'm wearing.
"Once a month the box comes up and sends us clothes, supplies, equipment and animals.
But ever since you came up two days ago, it hasn't gone back down." He hands me the oversized pullover.
"Can't we grow our own food?"
"Not all of it. Besides, we never got that many weapons than this time. There's something coming up."
"You don't know that for sure. Don't worry about it too much." I give him a smirk.
"Perhaps you're right." He admits and shows me the way into and through the forest.
We walk quite a while until we arrive at a clear lake.

This place looks like in a fairytale.

"None of the boys ever go here.
It's way too deep in the woods and they call it cheesy."

I start pulling of my jumper.
"It is. Cheesy, I mean."

He turns away as he sees what I'm doing.
"What? You've never seen a girl before? We're humans too, just like you." I tease.
"I wouldn't remember, anyways.
I'm not going to objectify you."
"Fine."
As soon as I undressed everything except for my underwear, I jump into the lake.
He hears the splash and laughs.
"You should not have done that."

I start swearing loudly.
"Don't blame me. I did warn you that it's cold as shuck." He turns back around and I plunge in.

It only takes a while to get used to the water temperature.
I try to squirt some of it at him and a smile flashes over his face.

Only a second later, his eyes are full of worry again.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Can you find the way back yourself? I have to do something..."
"Sure. Go for it. I'll see you later."
I watch him walk away without looking back. There's something on his mind and I can tell his limp has gotten worse.
