“@SlowKidsAtPlay: East coast slow kids we are coming your way! How does #SlowKidsTakeOverBoston sound? #moredeetssoon – DOB”
Before I could even take in what I had read my phone went off again. It was another tweet this one was from Dylan’s account. I clicked on it and read it out loud to myself.
“@dylanobrien: Hey cuties! @SlowKidsAtPlay is taking over Boston in the near future! Check it out if you want #atweetforallyoucutiesinthecorrneroftheusa”
Luckily I was lying on my bed because when I was finished reading the tweet I dropped my phone and began to scream. SKAP was coming to Boston for a show! Dylan called us cuties for the first time in a long time! You see he used to always call us that and it kind of came to be what his fans were known as but lately he hadn’t been calling us that. Not only that he had tweeted both of the tweets!
Halfway through my complete freak out my mom came running into my room asking if I was okay because I was screaming. I was able to calm down enough to pick up my phone and show her the tweet, still too ecstatic to be able to talk.
My mom finished reading the tweet and understood what was going on. She also knew that even if she didn’t get me a ticket for the concert I would still find a way in. So she handed me back my phone and said in a calm voice “Let me know when tickets go on sale.”
I jerked my head up towards her with the hugest smile on my face “YOU’RE GETTING ME TICKETS?!?!” I practically screamed.
“I never said that I just said to let me know when the tickets are available” my mom replied. That was my mom for you... she never would admit that she was doing something. It drives me insane but as long as I got tickets I didn’t care.
I WAS GOING TO GET TO SEE SLOW KIDS AT PLAY IN CONCERT!!
As soon as my mom left I called my best friend Marie. As the phone rang my level of fangirling seemed to go up by the ring. So much in fact that by the time Marie answered the phone I was in no state to form a proper sentence again so instead I just screamed again. I knew that she would already know because she gets the tweets to her phone too.
“Would you please calm down and talk” Marie said. I nodded then realizing that she couldn’t see me I managed to say a few words. “Okay” I replied a little louder than necessary.
“My moms getting us tickets” I quickly said before she could say anything else.
“Did she say that” Marie replied and I could tell that she was grinning with excitement.
“Not exactly” I said “but she did tell me to tell her when the tickets go on sale, so it counts!” I quickly said before she could tell me that I was getting my hopes up.
“Yea that does count!” Marie said she was getting really excited I could tell.
“I’m coming over” Marie said. I could hear the sound of her keys jingling and her front door slamming. Marie and I are both 18 even though we are still in high school. We have always been the oldest girls in our grade. Marie is only a few weeks older making her the oldest senior at our school. I was the third oldest, because there was a guy in our class who’s only a week older than me.
Before long I heard a knock on my door.
Hey guys! Hope you like this chapter! Don’t worry we will see Dylan soon! Does anyone see the theme that’s going on with the titles of the chapters? Let me know what you think I love getting comments <3
