"Kyo-chan, your soulmate is boring," Fuyumi told Kyoya the minute he woke up.
"Don't a get a 'Happy eighteenth birthday, Kyoya?' Besides, so is yours," he grumbled as he reached for his glasses. "What sort of first words are 'Would you like a napkin'?"
"Kyoya, you haven't even read your tattoo yet!" She let him put on his glasses before grabbing his arm and showing it to him.
He read it calmly, then looked at his sister and said, "So?"
"So, the first words she says to you are going to be 'I just wanted a place to do my homework without being picked on for my accent. Japanese rich kids are everywhere!'"
"She's exotic, Fuyumi. Is that not enough?"
"Not at all!"
Kyoya rolled his eyes and herded the woman out of his room so that he could dress in peace.
After holiday break, Kyoya was sitting in class and scribbling in his mysterious black book, in which he kept...
No, never mind that, the teacher was trying to get their attention. Once everyone had settled, she announced a new student, and Kyoya's interest was just about gone. He caught small bits of what the brunette girl was saying, including her name, Nicole, before she took her seat and quietly waited for class to begin.
He paid little attention to her, and once class was over, headed to meet with the rest of the Hosts. Today was a heaven vs. hell theme, and Kyoya had to get dressed in his costume. Of course, he was a demon (black contacts, dark suit, the works). On the other hand, Tamaki was obviously an angel (wings, white suit, etc).
He gathered his 'wife and children' and had them get into position so they could be ready to greet their customers. Seconds later, the door slowly opened, revealing the new girl, Nicole.
"Welcome to the Ouran High School Host Club!" they greeted in unison, turning on the charm.
Nicole paled and stared at the Hosts, her eyes darting down to the sleeve of her uniform, then back at them.
"Don't be shy, lovely new princess. Come in, and let the children of God or the seductive forces of the Devil cater to your needs!" Tamaki said, gesturing to himself and the other men.
Kyoya rolled his eyes at his friend and approached Nicole calmly. "I assume you're lost?" He could tell she wasn't there for the Hosts. She probably didn't even know what the Host Club was.
"I just wanted a place to do my homework without being picked on for my accent. Japanese rich kids are everywhere!"
Kyoya paused and blinked at her, then smirked. "Ah, yes, of course. Well, come along, I'll show you to a quiet classroom. Daddy, dearest, I believe I'll need to cancel my appointments today. Send them to the twins instead. I have a lady very high on my priority list."
Mori was the first to understand and grunted, "Congratulations."
The others gave confused looks and glanced at the tall, silent man. It dawned on them seconds after Kyoya had left with Nicole.
