When Twenty One Pilots came on they did mashups of their songs and performed each other songs. It was pretty fantastic. After, it was time to meet them.
I was extremely excited to meet TØP but I have to admit I was pretty nervous to talk to Ashton again. What would I say? I mean I had only met him once. Would he want to talk to me? He would probably think I was just some fan. I had a couple posters for Josh and Tyler to sign but nothing for 5SOS. My cousin is a huge fan of them. I picked up a napkin from the table they were behind. The first person we met was Calum. And when I said he looked like a baby earlier, I was quite mistaken. He was extremely hot. He was the type of person who is the captain of the track team, fails all his classes but all his teachers love him so he makes it to the next grade. He's friends with everyone and all the girls would ask him to prom. I don't think he was any of that but that's the vibe he gave off.
My brother introduced himself and moved on. I said hello and handed him the napkin. "This is the only thing I have, sorry." I said. He just looked at me and laughed. "I love your hair!" He said reaching out towards my teal and purple hair. He started feeling it and called Michael over. "Woah! We're like twins." Michael said referring to his red hair.. "Can I have a picture?"
"Um, sure." I answered. Michael put his arm around me and posed with his arm around me. I made eye contact with Ashton who was next us. We both looked away. That made the fact the I had to go up to him even worse than it already was. What if he didn't want to talk to me?I don't know why it mattered so much to me, I barely knew him.
After the picture with Michael, I talked to Luke for a while. He was honestly adorable but I couldn't focus on him. All I could think about was the fact that Ashton probably didn't want to see me. We had such a great connection at Starbucks, what could I have done since then?
I hesitantly walked towards him. He finished talking to Jake and then looked at me. "Hey Ashton," I said with a smile. "Hey." He answered and dug his hands into his pockets. Where was the smile I saw just hours ago when we met for the first time? We were complete strangers but now that I know who he is all I get is hey?
"What are you doing hug her!" Luke exclaimed. Ashton started towards me and I backed up. "It's fine, you don't have to." I said faking a laugh.
"C'mon she's a fan and she's really cool, why are you being so awkward?" Thank you, Luke. What happened to the confident Ashton who slapped the $20 on the Starbucks counter when couldn't find my money.
Luke gasped and Michael and Calum came over.
"What's wrong?" Michael asked.
"Ashtons being super awkward with our fan."
"Is this the girl he met in Starbucks?!"
"The one with 'the perfect lips and the beautiful eyes'?" Calum quoted. I blushed.
"The super cool one with the camera?" Michael continued.
"The girl who's drink he payed for 'like a boss'?!" Luke said as they all burst into laughter. I can't believe he said all that about me. We really did have a connection in Starbucks, and he felt it too! It was beyond me why he was acting so weird now but at least he felt the same thing I did. I pretended not to care that they were making fun of him and shoved the napkin into Ashton.
"Can you just sign this for my cousin." I snapped. The boys echoed with oohs.
"Uh sure," he answered a bit flustered. I took the napkin back and walked away.
"What was that?" my brother asked.
"I don't know." I answered. "Boys are weird."
