The next day I was on a cloud. I'd been smiling for so long my mouth was hurting. Even though Ash filled my thoughts I also couldn't stop thinking about how we have 2 days left in California. My feeing for Ashton had long been confirmed but now what do I do? I have to do something before we leave, but what?
"I'm gonna go get some lunch with calum." Jake said as he left our room.
I nodded to him and reclined into the couch. I sat there for a couple minutes then decided to watch a movie. As I flipped through the channels my mind was still clouded with thoughts of Ashton and the boys and leaving. I was probably stressing over it but I couldn't leave and have Ashton disappear from my life. I picked a movie and went to the kitchen to make some popcorn. I heard a light tap that sounded like knocking. I stopped for a moment to listen and then put my attention back to the microwave. I heard the tapping again and went to the door. When I looked through the peephole my favorite Australian waiting at the door. I immediately I opened the door and he lifted his head up and smiled. "Hey Sam," He said.
"Hi ash," I answered. He looked fidgety and nervous. I wanted to ask him why but I smelled something burning.
"Is something on fire?" He asked.
I ran back into the kitchen and swung the microwave door open. I dashing all around the room with hot popcorn in my hand looking for the trash can. I run around the corner colliding into a wall and start to fall. Except I don't fall. The wall I ran into was Ashton and he was holding me up.
"You ok there turbo?" He asks.
My cheeks turn red and I look down so he doesn't see. He takes the popcorn from me and throws it away in the trash can that's actually in a drawer under the sink. He takes my hands and looks at me.
I giggle, which makes him giggle.
He scratches the back of his head and looks down to his feet. "So I came here because I wanted to talk to you."
"Ok." I put my hand under his chin and lifted it so he was looking at me. I smiled. He smiled back. My heart was fluttering out of my chest as this boy gave me an adorable smile.
We went into the living room and sat on the couch. We sat here for hours telling jokes and stories. Talking about our daily lives and our parents. Our future plans and currents plans. It was when he was telling a story about the boys when I realized I truly never wanted him to leave my life.
"And then Luke started freaking out because the bug was crawling up his leg and none of us wanted to kill it!" Ashton exclaimed as we both bent over in laughter.
"That actually happened?!" I said in between laughs.
"I swear!"
As we both caught our breath I caught him looking at me again.
"Why are you always staring at me?"
"I don't know. You have nice eyes and a killer smile. You have a great taste in music and can kick ass in any video game. You're cool and funny and I just want to stare at you, I guess, sorry." He looks down again and I feel bad for asking. I just wanted to know.
"Are you kidding me? My smile is nothing compared to yours and I only beat you in video games cuz you suck! You're eyes are a color that I get lost in every time I see you. And you're literally the funniest person I've ever met!" I said back. He chuckles looking up. I can see his eyes looking all around my body. He begins to lean in and I feel his breathe against my lips. "Can I kiss you?" He asks. I nod. He leaned all the way in and attached his lips to mine. I felt the same thing I felt the first time we met. It was a mixture of happiness and excitement with a hint of curiosity. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his hands on my back. As the kiss goes on I tangle my hands in his hair. The kiss gets harder and his hands move around my back. We are interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Hey Sam can you let me in? I forgot my key." It's Jake.
I get up from the couch and open the door for him. "Hey, why were you out for so long?" I asked him.
"Calum and I met up with Luke and Michael and went to see a movie. They're up in their room now getting Ashton and then they're going to come down here."
"I'm right here," Ashton says standing. "I better go tell them I'm here. I'll see you guys later."
Jake comes in and Ashton steps through the doorway.
"Later, Ash." Jake said.
"See ya, man." He answered. He looked at me and smiled. He pulled me into a hug. When he pulled away he placed a soft kiss on my cheek and whispered in my ear,"Bye Scarlett."
He left and I closed the door. I leaned against it and thought about what had just happened.
"You okay Sam?" My brother asked me.
"I'm great." I pushed myself off the door and went into my room. I took my phone out and played Hallelujah by Panic! At the Disco. How did ash do this to me?
