Sleep

I'm craving some sleep,
But not to simply rest.
If I close my eyes forever,
For everyone that'll be best.
Making some unhappy,
Disappointing everyone else.
They say they're always there,
Yet their love eventually fails.
Or maybe just a little slit,
Leaving behind a trail of blood.
Nevermind I'll take the sleep,
For my crying's leaving a flood.
My eyes are sore,
My wrist is bruised.
Here I am feeling,
Like I've only been used.
I'm craving some sleep,
But not to simply rest.
The kind of sleep that won't let,
My heart pump in my chest.
