Close to my heart I'd hold,
But they lasted for never.
Forever empty words,
Always lacking emotion.
Flying away like birds,
Loosing themselves in the ocean.
They never came true,
From the beginning were lies.
But I always believed you,
Even when you ignored my cries.
You'd always put me off,
Said you'd be with me tomorrow.
At my tears you'd always scoff,
Drowning me in sorrow.
The promise you'd coax in my ear,
The one that said forever.
When you said you always be here,
Yeah, it lasted for never.
