Life:Flower

Life is like the life of a flower:
We start out as a seed.
Then we start to show, growing from the ground.
Suddenly we're like the stem;
Standing, but weak.
Then, we're the bud,
Holding something beautiful inside, but not showing it yet.
Those are the years when we are little kids,
Not knowing, yet, what we're capable of.
And then, we bloom, showing something beautiful.
Those are like our teen years,
Twenties, thirties,forties, even our fifties.
Those are our productive years.
Flowers go through a lot:
Rain, wind, animals.
Those are like the times when we have many problems,
And we feel weak, but we remain strong,
Reaching towards the sun, like sunflowers.
But then, when the world is only beginning to get used to us,
The beauty that we show,
We begin to slowly wither.
Those are our last years,
The years when we are old, fraying.
Then we fall off the stem, dying.
And then, we're back on the ground,
Back to dust,
Back to nothing.
