The check that Mr. Barns gave us was for a million dollars! I about had a heart attack when I saw all the zeros behind that one.

It's Fourth of July weekend, and Hunter insists he is going to use some of the money on me. I told him no but he won't listen. He rented my entire family a cabin. Blake is even coming with us. My dad got a leave from Iraq so that was nice. This is going to be wonderful!

I had all my bags packed last night. I am just making sure there isn't anything else I need.

"Charger? Check. Underwear? Check. Bathing Suit? Check. Deodorant? Check." I went down my list checking everything off. "I think I am good." I grabbed my bag and carried it downstairs. I was riding with Hunter and the girls, Abigail was riding with Blake, Nirvana was riding with Sam, and of course Mom and Dad were riding together.

I just had to wait for Hunter now.

"Mom! Do you know where my black bathing suit is?" Abigail hollered from the laundry room.

"Sorry honey, I don't" Mom yelled back.

"It's on the top shelf above the washer. You put it up cause you said you wouldn't fit in it." I told her.

"Oh yeah. Thanks!" She reached up and grabbed it.

Hunter honked the horn outside. "I am gone Mom!" I yelled. "I will see yall in a bit." I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. I threw the bag in the bed of the truck and jumped in the passenger seat.

"Hello beautiful!" Hunter smiled at me.

"Hello handsome, and hello girls! Are we ready to go swimming?" I turned and asked them.

"Yeah!" They both hollered.

"Won't be much longer and we will have the lake all to ourselves. We can go swimming all weekend long if we wanted too." I turned back toward the front. "So, what is the game plan?"

Hunter looked at me before the light turned green. "If I told you, that would ruin the surprise. All I can tell you is that as a family, we are going out and watching the fireworks tomorrow. And that I love you." He reached over and grabbed my hand.

"I love you too." I sat back in the sit and enjoyed the ride to the cabin.

The cabin was huge! It had a wrap around deck that gave you a spectacular view of the lake. There was bedroom upstairs and downstair and a perfect bedroom for the girls. The room looked like a walk in closet but it had a queen size bed in it. I wonder how the got that bed in there, cause there is no space on either side. It's completely against the walls.

We put the girls' bags in there. We then put our bags in our room. Yes, we are sharing a room. There is two people in each room, or in Abigail's case there is four.

"We are here!" Nirvana came through the door. "Dang, look at this place! This is better than our cabin." She looked around.

Sam walked in carrying most of the bags. "Did she make you?" Hunter gestured down to them.

"No I didn't! He wouldn't let me even grab one of them." Nirvana interrupted. "But I can't complain. He is just being a gentleman.

"What is this about someone being a gentleman?" My parents walked into the house.

"Sam." I pointed over toward them.

"Ah. Okay." My mom said.

"Where is Abbi and Blake? You trusted her to lock up the house?" I asked the last part in a joking matter.

"They actually left before us. Blake had to stop a few times on the way because Abbi had to use the bathroom."

"I bet she will be happy when these two months pass and she won't have to worry about that anymore." I said.

Everyone nodded.

A few minutes later, they walked into the door.

"Finally!" We all shouted.

"Oh shush, It ain't my fault." Abigail had her hands on her stomach.

"We know baby girl." My dad wrapped her in a hug.

"Now that we are all together, we can go swimming!" Nirvana shouted. Everyone ran off to their room to change into their bathing suits.

I changed in the bathroom really fast and then went to help the girls get theirs on.

"I like your bathing suit!" Rachel said.

"Thank you." I was wearing my camo bandeau. "And I like your's," She had a mint green one piece with ruffles at the top.

"Thanks." She said as she quickly ran out the door.

I got Cassy dressed and we made our way outside.

"Nice swimsuit." Hunter came up behind me. I turned around and looked at his. We matched.

"Did you do this on purpose?" I asked.

"Maybe. Now let's go swimming." He grabbed my hand and we ran for the dock. At the end we both jumped.

We swim for a couple hours until it started getting dark and everyone got hungry.

"Are we going out or staying in? I need to know so I know what to put on." Abigail asked as we walked in the cabin.

"Go put comfy clothes on. I will be cooking." Hunter said, holding the door open for everyone. Abigail was thrilled with that plan and so was I. Hunter was an amazing cook. He could make anything taste good.

"Do you need help?" I asked, following him into the kitchen. After we changed.

"You could go ahead and set the table."

"Okay." I grabbed the plates out of the cabinet and sat them on the table. Then went back to get the silverware. I placed everything and went back into the kitchen and sat at the island. "This is amazing! Thank you."

Hunter turned around. "You haven't even tried it yet."

"I'm not talking about the food. I'm talking about all of this." I pointed around me. "You used the money that Mr. Barns gave you and spent it on this. Thank you."

Hunter looked at me smiling. "Mr. Barns gave me that money to do something special for you. You put up with me at my worst so I wanted to do something special for you and he gave me that opportunity. And I know how much family means to you so figured why not make it a family vacation."

I got up from the stool and walked over to Hunter. "I love you, you know that."

He kissed my forehead. "I love you too baby girl."

Dinner was amazing and everyone was ready for bed. Hunter and I got the girls to bed pretty easy. We are now laying in bed watching some scary movie. But my eyelids are getting heavy and before I knew it, I was out.

Fourth of July! Wow has it really been over a year? A lot has changed in this year. I found an old friend and it just so happened to be the one I truly love. One of my sisters ended up pregnant and the other opened her own dance studio. I have saw my dad a little more than I normally do and that's nice.
"Adrianna, you ready to go?" Hunter walked into the room just as I finished getting ready.

"Yeah. You already got the girls ready right?" The who family is going down to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks.

"Yep! All dressed and ready to go!" He kissed my cheek. I just laughed. He's been acting pretty crazy here lately.

I followed him out to the living room. "Okay y'all! I think we are all ready to head out." The girls were jumping for joy.

My mom, dad, Nirvana, and Sam took one vehicle. Blake and Abigail took one and Hunter, the girls, and I took another. We were off and can I say that it's nice to have to whole family together.

The fireworks lasted for about 25 minutes and then there was the grand finally. It was spectacular! The girls absolutely loved it.

"Hey mom, Blake and I are gonna go get some ice cream. We will be home in an hour or so." Abigail told our mom. She let them go.

We were all in the living room, relaxing when mom's phone rang.

"Hello?" We couldn't hear what was being said on the other side of the line but it had to be something bad. My mom's face turned ghostly white and the dropped the phone after saying, "Pease lord no!"
