|Song: If It Means A lot To You By A Day To Remember|
Eighteen
"I got it-okay wait....what are you doing?!" I shrieked, gasping when she wrapped an arm around my waist, dipped another one under my knees and picked me up, holding me easily. My arms instinctively came up and wrapped themselves around her neck.
Her eyes smiled down at me as her lips curled downwards into a seductive pout. "Let me have my fun."
"I'll break you." I warned. She gave me a 'shut up' look and strode forward, not breaking stride at all. I have to admit I was slightly impressed. I mean, I lost some weight in the hospital but I still weigh 135 lbs. I used to weigh 150 with all my muscle.
She maneuvered me through the door, kicking it shut with her foot. She carried me all the way up the stairs, pausing briefly at the top to pass me a questioning look. "At the end of the hallway." I managed. My body was so aware of every place we touched it was almost painful. She nodded and continued on her mission.
She pushed open my bedroom door, glancing around the room briefly with a small smile. I was glad I cleaned the last time I was in here. She laid me down on the bed and looked at me sternly. "Stay."
I looked at her with starry eyes and gave a half nod, still dazed about what just occurred. She left and came back a moment later with my stuff. I moved to help her but she just shot me a look.
"Juliette-" I whined. She planted her hands on her hips and raised a challenging brow. My blood heated up. "Nevermind." I mumbled, laying my head back and staring at the glow in the dark star stickers on my ceiling. She gave an appreciative snort before returning to the clothes. I could hear her wrestling around the room, opening drawers or tossing dirty clothes into the hamper. I should've felt embarrassed that she was most-likely digging around in my underwear drawer, or touching my dirty underwear, but honestly I didn't mind.
After a few minutes the noises ceased. "Can I get up now?" I growled, shifting my eyes from the ceiling to where I last heard movement. I huffed when I realized she wasn't even in the room anymore.
I got up slowly. Since I'd practically been on bed rest the whole time in the hospital I didn't want to get dizzy and pass out. I glanced down at my clothes and decided I needed to shower. I hurried over and flicked on the shower, shivering as I waited for it to get warm.
Seriously, why don't you get naked after the water's warm?
Legitimate question for everyone.
I took the fastest shower ever but it still felt amazing to be clean. Once I was out, I braided my hair back and pulled it over my shoulder before pulling on underwear, some track shorts and an old sweatshirt before I wandered down to find Juliette.
A brief flash of fear went through me when I saw the empty living room.
What if she went home?
But my worries seemed to be irrelevant because a moment later I found her in the kitchen, looking at one of my moms old cookbooks. "What are you doing up?" She said without looking at me.
"I've been in a bed all week, I'll go nuts if I'm in one for more than five minutes." I argued.
She shifted, turning to look at me and the waning rays of sun illuminated her hair (which she'd let down) in a halo of gold. Her eyes glinted turquoise at me.
"Alright fine. Grab the flour and brown sugar." I complied enthusiastically. I was happy to do anything if it meant I wouldn't be confined to a bed anymore.
