Hermione's P.O.V

It had been 2 weeks since Draco and Hermione had moved into their common room. Ron was still in a grumpy mood for some reason.

Classes were going well and Hermione was flying through them (not literally haha). She knew everything in them of course, as she had read all of the textbooks and half of the library.

Draco and his friends had merged over to the Gryffindor table. All of Hermione's friends had accepted Draco and his friends and most of the other Gryffindor's as they had seen that they had changed. But there was still one person who had not accepted Draco's presence and that was Ronald.

-- In the Great Hall a week later --

"Hermione, what's wrong?" Ginny asked.

Hermione looked up and said " Ron's been avoiding me lately and I don't think were as close as we used to be. I hardly saw him during the holidays and now I only see him at breakfast and in class. He always used to make time for me and now it's like he couldn't bothered. I miss him Gin"

Ginny looked at Hermione in awe and said " Oh, Mione my brother is such a jerk. I can't believe he hasn't been looking after you. Do you want me to hex him for you?" Ginny asked.

Hermione smiled at the thought of Ginny hexing Ron. "I just want him to spend more time with me that's, I mean is that too much to ask." Hermione questioned.

"No Mione it's not too much to ask and you should want to spend more time with him, your his girlfriend and he can't treat your like a piece of trash and forget about you." Ginny said.

Hermione the realised that Ginny was right she shouldn't be treated like a piece of trash that should be forgotten of.

Hermione was fed up with Ron, so she decided she would confront him after lessons.

-- that afternoon --

Hermione was walking out of Transfiguration when she spotted Ron walking out of DADA (Defence Against Dark Arts). She waited to see where he was going when she realised that he wasn't heading anywhere near the Gryffindor Tower. She quietly followed him so he wouldn't notice him.

Once Ron finally slowed down he walked into the Astronomy Tower, 'Now why would he go up there' Hermione thought. Hermione quietly walked up the stairs and what she saw made her die inside.

Hermione dropped her books with a loud thud and Ron turned around  just in time to see Hermione run down the steps crying.

"Hermione wait" Ron said, but it was too late.

Hermione ran past people crying. She ran all the way to Snapes portrait and he said "Miss Granger, may I ask what's wrong."

She looked up suprised and said "Ron cheated on me with Lavender Brown, I followed him in to the Astronomy tower because I wanted to confront him on why he was always avoiding me. I walked in and saw them kissing herr and he said he loved her."

"Oh, Miss Granger I'm sorry. How about you go inside I'm pretty sure Draco can help you more than I can." Professor Snape said.

As Hermione walked into the common room Draco looked up and saw Hermione looking fragile and that she was crying. He immediately put his book down and rushed to Hermione's side. He hugged her while she cried into his chest. Draco didn't ask her why she was crying, he would let her open up to him in her own time.

After Hermione had cried for about half an hour. She finally looked up and said "Thank you Draco for being their for me, can we go to dinner" She asked.

Draco Smiled at her and kissed her forehead and said "Yes we can Mione. I won't make you tell me why you were crying, I'll let you tell me when you're ready."

Hermione gave a slight smile and went to quickly change from her school uniform into something casual. As Hermione walked out of her room she looked up and saw that Draco was still in the common room waiting for her. He looked up and said "shall we?"

"Yes, we shall" Hermione replied. They then continued through the door and went to dinner. They walked in a comfortable silence and then they finally arrived at the Great hall. As Hermione walked into the Great hall with Draco just behind her Ron looked up and saw her.

He got up and started to walk over to Hermione, but before he could get their Hermione shouted at him "Don't you dare try to talk to me after what you did."

"Hermione please let me explain" Ron asked. By now the argument had caught everyone's eye, and they looked over at the couple with curiosity.

Hermione looked at him and said "Explain what Ronald, that I saw you kiss Lavender Brown when you're dating me. You know I came to find you after lessons so that I could ask you why you were continuously avoiding me. But now I know why, you obviously had better things to do. I thought you loved me Ron, what did I do to deserve this? How long have you been cheating on me exactly?" Hermione questioned.

"Hermione I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to do, you always had your head in a book and you always went to library, you never had time for me and I thought that this was the only solution. I've been seeing Lavender during the holidays." Ron said.

This time Hermione had had enough "RONALD BILLIUS WEASLEY!!! How dare you say that I was the one that caused this. I was always at the library because you were always avoiding me and whenever I wanted to spend time with you, you said that you were busy doing homework. But I should have known because you never finish your homework without my help. You know I had dreamed of the day that e would finally be together since 4th year, but now that it has finally happened I see that it was all just a huge mistake." She yelled at Ron, with tears strolling down her cheeks.

Ron looked shocked. Ginny finally walked over to Ron and slapped him in the face sending him to the floor because of the force. Then said "How could you do something like this to Hermione, she has been nothing but a good girlfriend from day one. She has loved and cared for you, but instead you repay her like this." Ron stood up, his face cherry red on one side with a hand on his sore cheek.

 This time it was Harry's turn to yell at Ronald. He stood up and walked to Ron. "You know what Ron, you never deserved Hermione. She has always been too good for you. You don't even know it, but she planned beautiful date for you and her to go on but she could never do them because of you. You don't know how many times she was continuously knocked down because of you, but yet she still wanted to plan things for you because she loved you. You've hurt her way too many times. Hermione isn't only my best friend she is like a sister to me and you hurt her you hurt me. You're no longer my mate Ronald Weasley, have a great year because we want nothing to do with you." Harry said, then moved over to stand beside Ginny and Hermione.

Hermione then ran out of the hall and down to the kitchens because she didn't feel like eating in the hall now with everyone watching her. What she didn't know is that Draco had quietly snuck out and followed her to the kitchens. "Granger, are you alright?" Draco asked, scaring Hermione in the process.

"I'm fine Malfoy." She replied.

"No, you're not. Come here" He said. She turned around to find him Draco's arms around her. "Belle?" He called. A small elf with the cutest big blue eyes appeared wearing a tea cozy as a dress. She looked over to Draco and ran up to him hugging his legs.

"Hello Draco, Miss Granger. What can Belle get for you?" Tiny elf asked after she had let Draco's legs go.

"Can we please have tonight's dinner, thank you Belle." Draco asked the small elf.

"Of course Mister Malfoy," with a POP! She was gone and within 2 seconds she was back carrying 2 hot plates of Fettuccine Carbonara and 2 bottles of lemonade. "Here you go Miss Granger and Mister Malfoy" Belle said with a smile.

They both thanked the kind elf and started eating. Hermione started to get happier and was soon laughing. Hermione was feeling much better and all because of Draco.

Draco couldn't stop smiling as he heard Hermione's beautiful laugh. He suddenly knew that he was falling in love with Hermione Granger.
