Months had passed me and Hikari were already the best of friends, I was never depressed again, since Hikari's always there for me. Anyways, he's also back to being his normal self. School had been the same with me going to the library, attending classes, and of course, studying. I was getting good grades and a good life, it looks so much fine and serene now! The bullies stopped bullying me, but when they do, I slap them in the back and answer them a reply that would make them shut up. It's good to see that I'm strong now, and that's very good. Nothing feels better than being a normal and positive person!
In some free time, I write and read the ideas I get from the books in the library. I also listen to music to increase the rate of my health, so is my mind. How about Hikari? I wonder how he's doing.. But I'm sure he's fine, nobody beats him!
At last, it was graduation day. The names of the following batches were mentioned, until it was my turn. Yes! I'm awarded with a gold medal. If my parents were here, they would be so happy. I wonder how they're doing?
When the other highschoolers passed, I was so happy to hear Hikari's name mentioned. He's a really good student, and it's nice having him around.
After the graduation day, I went to look for Hikari to congratulate him. But he's missing again. Like the other day, I kept looking everywhere but Hikari wasn't there. I wondered, where could he be? But I remembered long ago that he was in the school tower, so I have to take the stairs challenge again. After I climbed the stairs, Hikari was there, looking at me and said "Congratulations, Saria! I'm so happy for you!!" And he added a chuckle. I congratulated him back.
"Congratulations too, Hikari! You're a really great student, it's always so nice having you around. I'm lucky to have you as a friend, without you, I would receive a bronze medal and still depressed! Anyways, what shall we do now?" I asked him after.
"Let's go home together with our awards. Let's prove them that even we differ from the way we act, we are the best of friends and we graduated highschool." Hikari said. I nodded, and followed him to our way back home. We're walking in the road, and I finally reached my house. Until Hikari's voice changed. "Wait a second, who are those two people in your house?" He asked. "Where?"
"Over there!"
Hikari pointed at the door, when I looked, it was my parents. They were holding their bags and stuff, and they're trying to open the door to our house."Mom..Dad..? You came back..?" I asked, nearly sobbing. "Yes, dear." My mother answered, and snivelled. "I know we had abandoned and you and dumped you, treated you like an animal, but we noticed that you were having problems and we're making it worse. So I want to say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that we led you to the wrong path." My mother apologized, all of us went crying while Hikari was just watching us. "I'm also so sorry, Saria. You may not have perfect grades all the time and you're not the best student, but atleast you're trying your best. We're so glad to come home and see you with your diploma and gold medal. We're very proud of you." My father apologized and praised me. "You see this gold medal? To me it's not just a reward from school, it's also something I can treasure forever. This medal had so many memories in it that I will never forget. And that is, about having you back and loving me again, being together again, and I'm no longer desperate." I told them. "But you should thank him. He helped me all the way until I reached this point of being happy." I added, and pointed to Hikari. "Hi.." Hikari shyly greeted my parents. My parents greeted back, and thanked him. We all embraced, and I went back home. Hikari waved at me and I did the same.
"Uhh Saria.." My father called me. "Yes, dad?" I asked. "Me and your mother planned to go back to our house in Ohio again.. That's where we celebrated every piece of joy. And we're going to start all over again in that place." My father explained. "That's great, dad! Well then, I must go pack my things!" I said excitedly.
After we put all our stuff in our bags, we called over a taxi. Then, I saw Hikari. I smiled at him and said; "Thank you for everything, Hikari. You've been a good friend to me, and that's very nice. Until we meet again." I said, and he knows that we're going. "I understand if you have to go, may the happy family continue. We'll meet again." He said. I went inside the taxi, and waved bye at Hikari.
After some several hours, we've reached Ohio. It feels so nice to be back home in the place where it all started. My family enjoyed our lives together, and I wished it will last forever.
Thank you Hikari, I'll never forget you.
I wish to continue being happy. Peace yo!
