Shivers ran through my body as We pulled up in front of my house. Oh, that evil house. The house I almost died in. I remember every moment. Every single God damn thing... where did Chris disappear to, though? It's like he turned into air. He should know that his trying to kill me didn't work. He should be going after me, to finish the deed. I remember he did that with my mom. He failed to kill her the first time, so he was determined to get her the second time.
"Hey." Collin said loudly.
"Huh?" I blinked a couple times, then turned to face him.
"You okay?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah, just... memories." I sighed, as a single tear ran down my cheek.
"You don't have to deal with him anymore. As long as you have me, I won't let anything hurt you." He cupped my face, then kissed my forehead. Once he let me go, We both sat there, staring at that house. It was dark out, and the only lights that were being used were the lights of the truck. The soft sound of music played in our silence.
"Enough procrastinating, I'll be right back." Collin spoke.
"No. This is my house, my problem, and we're trying to get my stuff. I'll go."
"To risk yourself getting hurt? you're not going, end of discussion."
"No, not end of discussion! What if you get hurt?"
"It won't be as bad if you get hurt."
"I'm going."
"No, I'm going."
I kid you not, We sat there in the car for almost half an hour arguing about who's going inside the house. In the end, I sat cross-armed in the truck, pouting while Collin was inside the house possibly getting beaten to death. Okay, I might be over exaggerating but you never know! He seriously could be getting hurt! Soon enough I see Collin come out the house with many, many bags of things. He put them all inside the trunk then came back and sat in the drivers seat.
"Where you trying to pack my whole entire room? Why so many bags?"
"I didn't know exactly where to start, or what you would need, so I kind of just took everything I laid my eyes on." he shrugged while starting then car.
"So, you had to take everything?"
"Well, you will be living with me, so might as well."
My eyes widened and a small smile appeared on my face.
"What?" Collin asked, clearly confused.
"You're letting me live with you? Like, actually live with you?"
"Of course. I mean, I figured since I'd never let you live with that monster, and my mom is being a phsyco bitch, you'd just have to live with me. Is that okay.. ?"
I pulled his face closer to mine and said softly, "Of course that's okay."
He smiled lightly, then kissed me very soft. His hand slowly snakes around my waist, pulling me closer. I knew what he was trying to do. He was trying to get me out if my seat, and on to his lap to straddle him. No. I refused, staying in my seat. He chuckled and rested his hand on my thigh. I moved my arms up to his hair and played with the perfect strands. This felt like the perfect moment. I liked the feeling of his lips pressing against mine, and the warmth his presence gives me. It's like when he's just around me, I'm in another world, gliding off into happiness. A sort of happiness that will never end.
There was a sudden loud knock against the windshield, making Collin and me jump. I looked to see two police officers at the window. One did a hand gesture, telling me to wind down the window. I did as told, and looked at the man like he was crazy.
