Imagine sitting in a moving vehicle, knowing that you're abandoning your life, to go face the unknown with someone you hate. Horrible, right? Because that's what I, Adelaide Demmins, was doing in that very moment.

I knew I hated Prince Harry and I shouldn't have been nervous, but the sweat trickling done my spine, begged to differ

I knew I hated Prince Harry and I shouldn't have been nervous, but the sweat trickling done my spine, begged to differ. I have almost been imprisoned multiple times and have also aided many criminals in escaping  prison for money. But, for whatever reason, this felt like it was the most nerve-racking thing I had ever done.

I had only been in a carriage once before, I was five and a half and I had just won prettiest pony of the year. I hated being scared, it made me feel like I had no control over what was happening around me. I hate not having control.

The carriage halted to a stop, causing me to fly forward. "Fuck!" I screamed as I hit the other side of the carriage.  The door opened, and I was ushered out of the vehicle and into the palace.

I couldn't help but gape at the archistructure  of the palace, inside and outside. I had only seen pictures in books, my mother used to bring home for Sydney to read.

It was late afternoon, so the sun hit the building and caused it to look like it was glowing. Inside the palace, the light coming through the windows, made everything rich orange colour, which was beautiful (that was a lot to say coming from me).

I could see maids running around the castle like chickens with their heads cut off, some with baskets of food, some with baskets of cloth.

"Hello, you must be Adelaide Demmins." A small older lady said to me. "The prince has been waiting for you, I'll take you to him, but first you must change out of these rags you call clothes!" She said laughing.

"What if don't want to see, Harry? I don't even like him." I replied loudly. Everyone within earshot stopped and stared at me in shock, I guess that's something you don't say in a royal castle.

"You do not have a choice." The lady replied, pursing her lips.
She stopped being kind after that, she dragged me to my rooms, got maids to bathe me and shave me, then she put me into corset (we fought for quite sometime, before she got it on) and finally she put me into a dress.

"Finally, I thought you would never be cleaned up enough to see the prince." She remarked, dusting off her dress.

The dress did look beautiful, though I would never admit it to anyone. It probably costed more than my disaster of a home. Where the corset was, it was a baby pink colour and the bottom was more of a green-y yellow, the puffed sleeves were white and covering the entire dress was a vine with flowers, every couple inches. What also added to the look, was the way they did my hair and makeup, it was subtle, yet still out there. I had never seen myself so beautiful.

"Alright, it's time to go see the prince, before the dinner with the royal family!" The lady said excitedly

Kill me now.

Update. Update. Update. I sang that like a song in my head, but you probably read it as something more rough and demanding. Anyway, excuse the fact that I suck at updating, cause it kills me too. I'll get started on the next chapter right away.

Question: Do you guys think I should include Zayn in this story?

Love,
Samantha Grant
