Unedited

I arrived home shortly after my visit with Niall. My parents, well father, wasn't very pleased to see that I had been taken care of. My mother on the other hand was grateful. My father was an ass to everyone, but his family, except for me. I guess it's because of my foul mouth, but I didn't give two shits about him. I guess I'm the black sheep and I surely didn't mind it.

Ever since I was a young girl girl, my father took pleasure in watching me suffer. Sydney on the other hand was the golden child, no one, not even a guards men could touch her without my father loosing his shit and try to kill the one who hurt her. I could die and he wouldn't care. When I was younger I tried everything in the world to get him to like me. For a while it worked, I won races with Merlin and I was his proud and joy. Then, the man who supplied most of our currency past away, leaving us with no money. Merlin was a powerful horse, fast and strong. My father knew that many people would want him, so he found the highest bidder and sold him for one hundred and fifty dollars.

That's when I realized that if that was Sydney's horse he wouldn't have even given a thought about selling it. So, I acted out. I showed my true self, not a killer or thief. A badass motherfucker. I won many poker games, I hid away the money. I only had forty-five dollars, two more poker games and I would be home free. The cheapest house (more like shack) was seventy-five dollars. It would be small, but it would do.

My thoughts were interrupted by my brother banging on the door to my room.

"Adele, don't forget tomorrow's the Harvesting. We need to get the wheat and eggs packed up." He yelled.

"I know, Fucknut!" I screamed. "I'm not a dumbass!"

"I beg to differ!" I could practically feel him rolling his eyes as he spoke. "Whatever, just come soon."

As much as I hated to admit he was probably the only one who would be sad if I died, besides Niall, of course.

*. *. *.

I woke up and remembered the Harvesting was today. The most important day of the year. The day farmers work all year for and the day that all rich people give us their money buying our produce. It's how we survive.

After stocking up our wagons, we walked down to the town market and set up our stand.

"How much for two dozen eggs?" An older lady asked. She obviously was very wealthy, she was wearing real fur. That was one thing I never understood , how people can walk around wearing a dead animal.

"Three dollars." I replied, nonchalantly. She scoffed,

"Please child, the stand over there is selling four dozen eggs for that price."

"Then why did you come over here, miss?" I replied, venom dripping from my voice. She rolled her eyes and marched away. "Bye, hoe!"

I felt someone grab my arm and drag me behind one of our wagons. "Adelaide Clarice Demmins, did you just drive away a customer!" My dick of a father, whispered yelled.

"No!" I spat back. "We simply had a disagreement about the price of the eggs." He slapped me, I felt the impact reverberate through my body and onto my three broken ribs. I watched him get up, but my vision was blurry. I stood up, almost falling because I was so dizzy.

"Adelaide!" I heard Niall call. "Are you okay?" He wrapped his arms around to hold me up. "What happened?" Panic playing in his voice.

"My father slapped me." I said, stretching my jaw. He walked me over to some hay bails, so that I could sit. I rested my head on his shoulder.

A sudden outburst of gasps sounded in the square. Many people dropped to their knees bowing. "Oh, not know." I mumbled to myself.

"What?" Niall asked. Before I could reply, a voice spoke,

"So this is the boy that is keeping your heart from me." Prince Harry spoke calmly, smirking.

"Oh, fuck off, Harry!" I yelled, standing up. "Leave me and my boyfriend alone!"

"Adelaide!" My fathers voice, sounded like thunder. "Respect our future king!"

"Why? I don't want him to think I fucking like him!" I screamed. "That would be an abomination!"

"I hardly think so." Harry spoke. "Adelaide Clarice Demmins, you have four hours to pack up your things before my guards take you to my home."

"No! Why not, Sydney?" I yelled, tears threatening to spill.

"Yeah! Why not Sydney?" Sydney yelled.

"Oh shut up, Sydney!"

"You will not take my future wife to your castle!" Niall screamed.

"Watch me." And with that, Prince Harry Edward Styles trotted away on his horse.
