My nerves were still bugging me, but I had to stay strong. If I didn't, I would be seen as weak and when you're weak, you're taken advantage of. Adelaide. Demmins, didn't get taken advantage of ever.

The lady led me down the stairs to the gardens, Prince Harry was sitting on bench near the hedges shaped like his family. Once he saw me, he stood up to greet me.

"Miss Demmins, I'm glad to see you came." He replied to my presence. Did he really think I want to be here? What. An. Idiot.

"More like forced to come, but then again I've never been this clean in my life, and that's because of you, so..." My words trailed off. He let out a laugh, and gestured for me to sit down.

"I'm sorry for how I treated you before," he paused, "my father says I have to 'look strong and demanding' in front of our subjects." He spoke, before letting his eyes trail to the ground. I didn't know how to respond, he honestly seemed sorry.

"I understand, but I've dealt with worse." I said, standing up. "Shouldn't we go to dinner?"

"Please, Adelaide." He started, giggling. "Dinner is not for another hour." He continued, still giggling.

I waited a few moments, before he stopped. "Come on, I want to show you the horses. I heard you like those."

"Well, I don't win prettiest pony of the year because I didn't like horses." I said in a 'duh' tone.

"Well then, come this way." He said, making a follow me gesture. I trailed after him, twisting through the garden.

Eventually, we escaped the maze of a garden, into a big field. To the right, I could see a massive barn, that must keep the horses. To the left, there was a few jumper courses and two cross-country courses. And just because they're the royal family, there was a polo field. There was also some trails you could use if you were just going on a bit of a stroll.

"Do you like it?" Harry asked, putting his hand my back. I shuffled away before replying,

"Of course, I love anything horse related." I said in a 'duh' tone.

"The horses are this way." He announced, leading me to the right.

We walked into the barn. It was quite large, 25 stalls with beautiful horses lined the walls. At the end of the aisle, was all the supplies. Saddles lined with gold accents, beautiful lead ropes hung on the walls, along with crops.

Harry left me to explore, while he got the supplies. I was looking at the eighth horse, when I saw him. Merlin, my horse from when I was a child.

"Merlin!" I called out, running to him. Het out a whinny and reared. I ripped open the stall door and hugged him. He snuggled into my neck, and we stood there like that, until Harry came back.

"Ah, I see you like Maryn. He's one of our best horses, a bit old though." Harry said, walking over with supplies in his hands.

"You mean Merlin, right?" I spoke, annoyed. Don't tell they changed his name.

"No, I'm pretty sure his name is Maryn." He replied, gesturing to the sign above his stall that said, 'Maryn'.

"He was my horse, I would know his name." I said, turning back to Merlin. I could see in the reflection of the window, Harry roll his eyes.

"The duke we bought him from said his name was Maryn." Harry retorted, sharply.

"Well, he bought it from, Sir Carington." I replied, knowingly. "Who bought it from my father, who stole it from me." I spoke of the past.

"Oh... I didn't know." He quietly replied. He handed me a saddle and bridle.

I put the saddle onto Merlin, tightened the girth and put the bit in his mouth. I fastened the straps on his bridle and led him out of the barn into an open field, where Harry was waiting.

"You ready to go?" He inquired, already on his horse.

"Of course, I am." I laughed, jumping onto my horse.
"Let's go." I giggled, cantering away.

Merlin knew how I liked to ride, I knew how he liked to ride. We fit together like two puzzle pieces. He was my horse; I was his rider.

I started to cry, tears of joy and tears of sadness. Memories of our rides together, before he was taken from me, clouded my mind. The years I missed of his life, I will never get back.

Harry noticed the tears that covered my cheeks. "Are you okay?" He inquired, halting to a stop. I quickly wiped the salty things away.

"I'm fucking fine!" I exclaimed a little too loudly. He seemed taken aback at my abrupt freak out.

"Do you want to go back?" He carefully questioned. I nodded my head and we turned around.

We put the horses away in silence. It became very awkward, especially with all the weird eye contact.

"We should probably head to dinner." Harry spurted out of nowhere.

"Um, okay." I mumbled as a reply. I quickly brushed my dress to try to get any wrinkles gone. There was no mirror in the barn, but I knew for sure my hair was messed up from the wind. I did the best I could to fix it, without having a mirror, but then again at my own house I didn't have a mirror.

We walked to the palace in the same awkward silence as before. He mumbled a goodbye, before going off to his chambers to fix himself up for the dinner.

A few maids came over to do some final touches on my look, they showed me, in a small hand mirror, what they had done. I looked the same as before my ride with Harry, which surprised me a little. I didn't think I could come back from 10 minutes ago, when I had red puffy cheeks and eyes.

The small, older, rude lady came back from before. "Rule number one, don't be rude." She started. I rolled my eyes."That! Don't do that! Rule number two, don't say anything inappropriate."

"Isn't that the same thing as being rude?" I remarked, picking at my nails. She groaned irritated,

"Adelaide, stop talking and listen!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms into the air. "Rule number three, don't ask about room 83. Alright?" She asked, finishing the rules.

"What's room 83?" I inquired purposely. She let a loud frustrated scream.

"A-del-laide!" She yelled, stopping at every vowel.

"Yes?" I replied, innocently. I batted my eyelashes at her and smiled sickeningly sweetly.

"Ah! Just go! Go!" She said, shoving me into a room.

6 eyes peered at me, curiously. 2 eyes held a smile.

"Adelaide, this is my family."

Hello! (Said like Marcus Butler) this is the longest chapter #coolfactswithsam
Sorry if it's crappy. Also I don't know much about horses, so I'm really sorry if anything is wrong. I just went off what my friend told me (thanks Kiera <3)
