AKB0048 Fanfiction! (Under Editing)

Ch.12

Rin's POV

I'm glad Tsubasa let me help protect Akibastar. This is my home now and I have to protect it. I put on the trainees' successors uniform. Instead of red, Nao's and mine were yellow. "Rin are you sure you can perform?" Haru asks worriedly. "Yeah!  A little fever can't stop me, and it's your job to protect me!" I say happily. Haru smiles. "Be careful." I nod and Haru walks off getting in position to snipe some DES guys down. "Rin!" Nao hugs me. "Hey what's up Nao?" "Nothing, I'm just excited!" I see out of the corner of my eye Takamina and Yuuko walking towards us. "You guys ready?" Yuuko asks. We nod in excitement. "Good! We have something for you guys." Takamina says rummaging in her bag. I remember Takamina had asked to borrow my bow for a few minutes so I suppose she's handing it back. "Here! Rin I made your bow so you can electrocute some DES just like mine!" Takamina says. "Arigato Takamina-Senpai!" I say putting the bow in my hair. "And for Nao.... I got you an attack ribbon! When you use it, it'll wrap around any DES nearby and trip him up." Yuuko says handing to Nao. "Arigato Yuuko-Senpai!" "Yeah! Good luck you guys!" Takamina and Yuuko say walking off. Acchan and Chieri walk up to us. "Are you guys ready?" Acchan asks. "Yeah!" I say. Acchan smiles but her smile doesn't reach her eyes. "Acchan are you-" I start to ask but I'm cut off by Tsubasa's voice speaking over the intercom. "Acchan, Chieri, Rin, and Nao. Please get ready to sing and fight." We all look at each other and nod. We get on the Flying Get and it takes off to the skies. As Nao and I stand on the stage along with Acchan and Chieri, all we can see and hear are the explosions of our fellow members of AKB fighting the DES. "Ready? We're singing Pioneer." Chieri asks with a smile. "Ready." Nao and I say. The diamond platforms pop up we fly through the air and sing.

We fly through the air dodging every attack the DES throws at us. "Nao watch out!" I yell. A missile launches at her and Nao uses her ribbon to throw it down and it explodes. "Nice!" Nao smiles at me and upfront I see Acchan and Chieri singing with their micsabers out. Nao and I begin to sing again.

"Rin-chan!" I look up and see Acchan. "Are you ok?" She asks. I nod and smile at her. Then my eyes widden. A missile. Heading straight towards Acchan. "Acchan watch out!" I fly towards her and block her from the missile. I plummet towards the ground, feeling the air rushing through my hair. "Rin!" A voice screams out. It's too muffled to know who it is. I feel a pair of arms wrap around me and see its Acchan. "Rin?" "I-I'm ok Acchan." I say smiling lightly. "Huh? Not a scratch... You took a missile for me but you don't seem to have any injuries at all." Acchan says. I look at my body. She's right! I'm not even bleeding! "Rin, are you ok?" Tsubasa asks through my earpiece. "Fine Tsubasa. But I'm not injured in any way." I say. "Huh? How peculiar... Could it be the kiraras protcted you?" Tsubasa muses. "Ah! We're still fighting! Rin you good?" Acchan asks. I nod and get back on my platform.

Everyone's kiraras shine brightly and the DES retreat. I hug Acchan. "We did it!" I say. "Yeah!" Nao and Chieri fly over to us. "Rin are you ok?? I saw what happened!" Nao asks worriedly. "I'm ok, Nao-chan." I say. "Good job girls. Now Rin, you need some rest. We're not sure about this fever of yours, so it's best that you skip practice tomorrow." Tsubasa says. "Hai!" We get back on the Flying Get and Tsubasa has Yukirin check my fever. I think about the battle. How was it that I came out without a scratch from a missile? Maybe Tsubasa's right. Maybe the kiraras protected me....
