Ch. 16

Rin's POV

"A cure?" I ask after Nao finishes explaining the situation.

Nao nods, "Its confusing but you have to sing to get better."

"It is confusing but if it makes be better then I'll do it."

"We just have to hope the cure overtakes the disease." Chieri says.

I nod and the 77th generation and Kanata walk up to me.

"We'll be with you every step of the way Rin." Kanata says with a smile.

"Yeah! Faito da yo!" Sonata says. (T/N: Faito da yo!- Fight On!)

I smile, "Thanks, minna-san. I'll do my best!"

"Say do you guys want to practice right now? Just to test it out." Acchan asks.

"Yeah, we should try that. Rin and Nao upfront. Nagisa, the 77th generation, Kanata, and I will be in the back. Let's practice... Aitakatta." Chieri says.

Nao and I move up to the front as the rest stay in the back. The music starts and we all start singing and dancing.

I suddenly start to feel dizzy and my body starts to sway. Everyone else notices and stops dancing as I fall to the ground.

"Rin!" they all yell.

I fade in and out of consciousness and then I black out.

Nao's POV

"Rin! Wake up! Crap, she blacked out." Kanata says.

"What happened? She was fine at one moment then she fainted!" Orine says.

I pace the room, thinking. What could have it been? There must be a reasonable explanation for this happening to Rin.

"Nao, you okay?" Haru asks walking up to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just worried... you're probably worried sick as well?"

Haru nods, "Yeah I am. I have a hunch it could have something to do with the DES..."

"The DES? What could have they done to make Rin get this disease?"

"I don't know...but didn't Acchan say something about Rin's father earlier when we were in the auditorium?"

"That's right. I did say something about Rin's father." Acchan says appearing behind us.

"Oh, Acchan! Do you think its true?" I ask.

"I have a feeling the DES are behind this. Perhaps some sort of disease was injected into Rin before she left Lancastar." 

"Injected? But how-" Haru starts to say but I cut him off.

"I know...Rin didn't say anything about it but when we were fighting the DES I noticed some syringes they had. Rin must've gotten it then."

"We need to tell Tsubasa this! It's important info, and if its true we can put the blame of Rin's father!" Acchan says.

"Huh? W-what happened?"

We all turn and it seems that Rin has regained consciousness.

I run over with Acchan and Haru following behind me, "Rin, are you okay? You blacked out!"

Rin sits up, holding her head, "I blacked out?"

I nod, "Yeah you did. Say Rin, do you remember when we fought the DES before coming here?"

"Yeah, I do. What about it?"

"Did you get injected with something while fighting?"

Rin's eyes widen, "Y-yeah... I did. I-I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to be worried. I'm sorry."

"No, it's fine. This'll help us, but I wished you told me Rin." I say.

"I'm sorry Nao-chan...but what could me getting injected help you with?"

"Rin, we believe that this was your father's plan." Acchan says.

Rin stays silent for a moment before she looks up at us with anger in her eyes, "Take me to Lancastar," she says.

"What?! No way Rin! We should just tell Tsubasa about this and we can get your father to take the blame and DES will be disbanded!" 

"No! I want to talk to him myself! I-" Rin starts but is interrupted by Tsubasa entering the room.

"No one's going to Lancastar. Especially not after what we have learned." Tsubasa says.

"T-tsubasa...how long have you been out there?" Chieri asks.

"Long enough to hear everything I needed to hear. Rin, you're not going to Lancastar, not until the concert."

"But Tsubasa I have to talk to him! He's the one who gave me this disease and cure so he must know how to remove it!" Rin says.

"...Rin, there's no way to remove it from you. You've had the disease for a month now so its set in your blood stream. Your father planned this out very well." Tsubasa says.

Rin gets up abruptly and storms out of the room.

"I-I'll go talk to her." I say leaving the room.
