I woke up to someone shaking me and shouting frantically. "Damn it, Tanner. Wake up," they said. I jerked up and immediately noticed the room was spinning, then there was a hand snapping in front of my face. "Focus," they yelled. Then, I realized it was Lacey. I stood up and noticed my room didn't look quite right; it might have been the fact that the room was spinning, but no that wasn't it. That's when it hit me; we weren't on the floor. We were on my ceiling! "What the hell," I mumbled somewhat groggily. "Yeah we're on the ceiling; yeah we survived a tornado; now we don't know where we are, so let's get out of here and find out," Lacey said in a panicked voice. We crawled through my bedroom window, who's shutters were now long gone, onto luscious green grass. After I tumbled out so did Lacey....right on top of me. "Get off of me," I whined, pushing her. She quickly rolled off, and we looked up to see what looked to be guards. "Wh-," I started before being distracted by the way they were parting. Someone was coming through. At last we saw who it was. It was a girl, maybe mine and Lacey's age, which was sixteen, and she had on the flashiest and most skin tight dress, if you could even call it that, on. Her feet were clad in what seemed to be ruby slippers, and then we hit just plain legs for a while and boy did she have some nice legs. Then, I noticed the blue and white checkered skirt that started a little above mid thigh, which I appreciated vastly. Finally, there was bare midriff and a shirt in the same print that started just below her breasts (which were magnificent) and ended just above them, giving me nice view of her massive cleavage. Wherever we were, I definitely did not want to leave. Then, there was her beautiful face. My jaw dropped. Pink, rosy cheeks, blood red lips, and thick black eyeliner. And then, her gorgeou hair. It was beautiful; brown and wavy and to the middle of her back. I would kill to run my hands through that hair. God, this girl was absolutely gorgeous. "Well, hello your majesty. You are just absolutely gorgeous, ain't you darlin'," I said, flirting and boy was I laying it on thick. She seemed a bit taken aback, but quickly brushed me off. Hm, guess I'll have to work for it. "Who the hell are you, and where are from," she said in a hard voice that was somehow melodic at the same time. I could listen to her speak all day. Lacey coughed and said, "I'm Lacey Barnes, and this is Tanner Montgomery; were from Tennessee. Where are we?" She seemed satisfied with Lacey's answer and said, "I'm Dorothy Gale, and welcome to Oz." I burst out laughing, "You have got to be kidding." I managed to say between gasps. Her face darkened a bit, "I am not." I coughed, "Wait....you're serious." "Yes, I am," she said. "Not the Oz from the storybooks," I asked, "right?" "It's definitely that one dear," she said, her mouth quirking into an involuntary half-smile, "what other Oz is there?" "None that I know of," I whispered. "Prove it," I demanded. She just sighed in aggravation and waved her hand, and all of a sudden there was a small fire crackling at my feet. Then, with a wave of her hand it was gone. "Holy shit," I breathed. I looked at Lacey to see how she was taking this, and she looked about ready to pass out. "Holy shit is right," Dorothy smirked. "Wait shouldn't you be like over a hundred years old, or something," I asked. "Time moves differently here in Oz," she said, the she pursed her lips, "How much time has passed back in the Other Place?" "It's 2016," I told her. "Oh," she breathed, "that means Auntie Em is dead, and the guy I talked to who wrote about my 'strange dream'," she said, making air quotes, "is dead, too. They're all dead." She looked a bit troubled by this thought, and maybe even a little bit sad. She shook her head a bit as if clearing it and looked up at us with a dazzling smile. "Come with me to the Emerald City," she said, and it wasn't a question. It was an order. Damn, I loved a girl in charge. She turned, expecting us to follow and we did, me watching her ass swaying side to side the entire time as she made her way back to her gaurds. "I don't trust her," Lacey murmured under her breath. "She's Dorothy fucking Gale, Lace. I'm pretty sure it's fine," I laughed. Dorothy was a sweet girl from Kansas who saved everyone from the Wicked Witch of The West; she couldn't be evil....right?
