Lost In The Cold

Chapter 12

The living being had attempted to kick Ace in the stomach but he dodged just in time. But when he looked up and flopped his ears out of his eyes, "X-Xia?!" He said in disbelief and shock.

Xia also had the same reaction, only she didn't say anything. Her body and arms were tied tightly together with a rope against the door but one of her legs were free while the other was not. She had tried breaking herself free and failed.

Ace picks up his knife and approaches Xia."I'm getting you out of here." He whispered and started to dig his blade into the thick rope. Xia nodded and swallowed. She looked at far ends of the corner and kept alert if someone was near.

After 10 minutes, the last strand of rope was cut and Xia was free. "C'mon, lets go now before he sees us!" Ace says sprinting at the end of the hall. He could hear Xia run after him but after a few seconds, a thump. He swung around to see Xia tackled to the floor by Jay.

"Going...anywhere?" Jay said, wicked smile forming on his face.

Ace picked up a small pipe from the wall. "Let her go!" He yelled furiously, as he was about to attack. Until Jay caught his hand to stop him. He grabbed the pipe from Ace's hand and threw it over his shoulder.

"Try me." His grim voice and sudden hand grabbing surprised Ace a bit, but he didn't surrender. Yet.

Ace moved his head closer towards Jays. They were so close they could feel each others breaths. I mischievous smile had spread accross the snow hare's face "Then I will." He said, his eyes glowing from grey to turquoise. Then booped him on the nose.

"Is this some kind of game to-" Jay was interrupted to find Ace kissing his cheek (HAHAHAHA THIS IS SO IRONIC OML). Both of them turned red but Jay blushed the most.

Meanwhile, Xia kept hitting her head against the floor repeatedly. Oh god Ace what have you done. Even though Xia was basically free from Jay who was distracted at the moment, she didn't move and didn't notice Ace's foot which was trying to get her attention

Jay shoved Ace away from him and wiped his face with his sleeve.

"Well that's sad." Ace exhaled, now had a dead-pan look on his face. "Then I'll just do it this way." He said, taking out his knife.

ACE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Xia shrieked inside her head. "D-dont...do it." She croaked weakly.
Ace noticed her and smiled. "Don't worry, were going home unharmed and alive". But he didn't know that he was wrong for he didn't know what happened to Silkver and Soni.

"But you're mistaken." Jay said, running towards him. Ace also ran to him. Just when they were about to crash, Jay flew over him and disappeared.

Where did he go... Ace stood in a fighting stance, ears perked up. He stepped back to a door.

Suddenly, Xia noticed a similar yellow glow appear on the door behind Ace. "ACE BEHIND YOU!!!" She screamed, voice cracking and gathering all her strength to stand up and run towards her friend.

Too late. Jay had swung the door open which had smacked Xia in the face and knocked out all her senses. Again. "Wha-?!" Ace turned to see Jay holding a pipe in his hand and got ready to swing it at him. Ace dodged and lunged at Jay. They both fall on the ground through the door and open their eyes. Jay blushed again with a disgusted look to see Ace on top of him wiggling his eyebrows.

"CAN YOU NOT." Jay said boldly, punching Ace in the stomach to get him away from him.

Ace stumbled backwards while clutching his stomach. "Heh nope..."

"ARE YOU EVEN AWARE THAT I CAN JUST KILL YOU ANYTIME NOW?"

Ace stopped laughing and looked at him straight in the eye. "That doesn't matter." He stood up confidently, more serious now. "What matters is that you'll be punished of your crime for kidnapping a teen and we'll all forget about this." He said, switching blades on his knife. "I don't want to kill you."

"I don't want that either." Jay said. "But Xia and your friends had caused me enough trouble so I might as well eliminate you from this world..." Without a warning, he hits Ace's head with the same pipe the rabbit had used.
