Chapter 8 - Beach Day

Before I opened the door, I checked how I looked in the mirror. I fixed my hair a little and then I looked fine so I walked toward the door and opened it.

Ethan's point of View

      I looked up and saw Jennifer. She looked even better than when I met her the day before.  I just kept staring at her. I hadn't realized for how long I was staring until she asked if she could come in.  I motioned with my hands for her to come in.
     She took a seat on the couch as I closed the door behind her. 
  "Do you have food?" Jennifer asked before I sat down.
   "Well we can make some," I said.
 "Perfect," she said with a smile," What can we make?"
   "Anything, we just can't burn the house down," I joked.
   She laughed," Lets make pizza."
        We went to the kitchen and Jennifer helped take out the ingredients. We took out the already made pizza crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. We were going to have a Hawaiian style pizza since it was Jennifer's favorite. 
    I was putting the sauce on the pizza and Jennifer was waiting to put on the cheese. I was almost done with the sauce when I felt something on my head. I felt it and I had a whole pile of cheese on top of it. 
"Jennifer! Why is there cheese on my head?" I said trying to seem mad.
   "You were taking to long and I had to do something with this cheese," she joked.
   "Well it payback time," I said and grabbed the open pineapple can. I poured it on her head just like she did with the cheese.
  "Ethan! You ruined my hair! Now its on!" she said and grabbed pizza sauce. I saw what she did and I grabbed the pizza crust with sauce.
   She ran up to me and was about to still the sauce on my head, but she slipped on the pineapple juice I spilled on the floor. She fell causing me to fall too.  
   She fell on top of me so we were on the floor together. She looked up at me and all I could focus on was her lips. I was going to kiss her but then Grayson walked into the kitchen.
     "Woah, Ethan I could see you and Jennifer are getting along pretty well," he said smirking. 
   Jennifer got up off of me and I stood up.
    "I'm Jennifer, but you can call me Jenni," Jenni said introducing herself.
   "I'm Grayson, Ethan's brother. Nice to see you again. I could tell Ethan was really excited to see you," He said laughing. I punched him the arm for embarrassing me.
   "Well were making pizza, want some?" Jenni asked Gray.
    "No thanks I already ate," Gray said even though I knew he was lying just so me and Jenni could be together. 
   We finished making the pizza and we put it in the oven. It needed like 20 minutes to cook so we went back  to the living room. We sat on the couch and started to watch friends. We sat apart from each other, but all I did was stare at her.
    As I was staring, I noticed she was shivering. "You cold?" I asked.
  "Just a little but its fine, I'm always cold," she laughed.
   "No worries, I'll get you a blanket," I smiled and got her a blanket.
 "Thanks," she said and I handed her the blanket. She curled up into the blanket and I thought it was so adorable. We watched Friends for a while longer when we heard the oven go off.
  "PIZZA!" Jenni said and ran to the kitchen.
   "Jenni, its just food," I replied laughing.
    She was already opening the oven when I got to the kitchen.
    "Here, let me help," I said and took out the pizza.
     "This pizza looks like a masterpiece," she said admiring the pizza.
     "You look like a masterpiece too," I mumbled so she wouldn't hear. 
      I took out the pizza cutter and gave her two slices and went back to the couch.
   I sat down ready to eat my pizza and watch more Friends when I felt someone next to me. It was Jenni, who was cuddled next to me.
   "I'm still really cold," she said smiling.
   "I'll be your sunshine and bring you warmth," I said. I didn't realize how cheesy that was until I said it.
   "That was so cheesy, " Jenni laughed.
"I know, I didn't realize until I said it," I said trying not to sound nervous.

   We finished our pizza and I wanted to go out.
    "Hey Jenni, I figured since you haven't been to LA before want me to take you somewhere?"
        "That would be great, how 'bout the beach?"
   "Perfect. You wanna borrow one of my sisters swimsuits?" I asked her.
    "Sure its better than going in jeans," she joked.
    I brought out all the swimsuits that Cameron left at out house one day and let her choose. While she changed, I got a pair of swim trunks and a loose shirt so I could take it off over at the beach.
   Jenni came out with a shirt her swimsuit as well, so she could take it off at the beach.
     Grayson came into the room and saw us in our swim suits.
    "Aww already going on a date," he said smirking and making kissing faces at me.
    "Gray stop. This isn't a date, I'm showing her around," I said.
    "Okay whatever, " he said and came closer to me. "You like her dude, just go for it, its a date," He whispered.
    "Shut up, she might not even like me," I said.
    " Never know until you try," Gray said. 
      We got all out stuff ready and went our the door. We got in the car and drove to the beach.

Jenni's Point of View

   Me and Ethan arrived at the beach. It was barely 2:30 so it felt fresh outside.  We found a spot on the beach and put our stuff down.  
    Before we got in the water, I had to take my oversized shirt off. As I was taking it off, I could feel Ethan staring. I looked up at him and he tried to lay it off by taking off his shirt.
   He took his off and I couldn't help but stare either. I didn't realize how hot Ethan was until I saw his perfectly toned abs. I stopped staring when I heard him calling my name.
    "Jenni? you okay?" He asked.
   "Oh yeah, just you look nice," I said blushing.
    " Well you look beautiful," Ethan said making me blush more. "Aww, you look cute when you blush," Ethan joked.
    I didn't realize how much I was blushing until I felt my face.  I couldn't stop blushing. It was like the more I stood there with Ethan, the more I blushed. 
   To not just stand there with Ethan watching me blush, I yelled," Race Ya!" and ran as fast as I could to the water.
   "Oh no you don't !" Ethan said and ran towards me .
   I was already in the water when Ethan came crashing into me, knocking me into the water.
    "Ethan! I was trying to not get wet!" I said acting overdramatically.
   "Well trying to stay dry isn't an option," Ethan said and splashed me with water.
   "Ethan stop!" and I playfully splashed him with water. Soon enough we were full on Splash war. I literally couldn't see anything I was just splashing. I was still splashing when I noticed that Ethan wasn't there anymore.
 "Ethan?" I called. I was getting out of the pool when something pulled me down. I screamed so loud, the thing that pulled me down let go. I looked and saw it was Ethan. 
    "Ethan! You scared me half to death," I screamed still scared.
   "sorry, just wanted to scare you," Ethan said.
   "Well if there's one thing you know about me, its that I hate being scared," I said laughing.
   "I'll scare you more often then," Ethan joked.
   "You better not," I said and began tackling him in the water. He starts to tackle me as well and I started losing. Ethan won when he put me on his back and I couldn't get off.
    "Okay you win," I said.
   "What's my prize?" He smirked.
   "A kiss on the cheek," I said jokingly.
   "Oh my gosh Jenni, did I just hear a flirt?" Ethan said trying to sound surprised. 
   "Maybe it was," I said and winked at him.

   Ethan took me back to my hotel.
"Today was fun, thanks for taking me to the beach," I said.
   "Well being you was like being in paradise," Ethan said.
 "And after still cheesy," I joked, "but it was a really fun day."
   We reached my room and Ethan and I stood outside it. As we stood outside all I could notice was Ethan staring at my lips and him staring at mine. I could tell Ethan was already leaning in when the room door opened. It was Andrea. She had a smile on her face because she knew we were about to kiss. 
   I played it off and said," Well bye Ethan, had such a fun day, thanks for the pizza."
   "Anytime, and by the way, Your pizza tasted great," He said smiling. I was already walking in the hotel room when I forgot to give Ethan his "prize." I ran up to him and kissed him on the cheek.
   "What was that?" he asked.
   "Your prize for winning," I smiled and walked away.  I walked back into the hotel room.
    "Woah Jenni, so tell me, were you two about to kiss?" Andrea asked, curious to find out details.
   "We were until you interrupted," I said.
   "Sorry, but what happened, where did you two go," she asked.
    "We went to the beach, and I loved it. We started flirting and I'm really starting to like like him. I wanted to kiss him so badly, he's just really perfect," I said thinking about Ethan.
   "Jenni, You can't like Ethan, remember, you have Cameron."

   Now she likes Ethan, lets see what happens while their still in LA.
