        Jenni's Point of View

It was the last day of my first week of high school. We were in the Auditorium because we had a spirit rally. Cam and I were seated next to each other waiting for the rally to begin. The rally began and the principal, Mr. Bronx, came out to the middle of the floor.
" Hello students of Oakland High! WHOS READY FOR SOME SPIRIT?!!" yelled the principal. The whole crowd screamed so loud I felt the bleachers beneath me vibrate.
" We need one volunteer from each grade. First up, lets pick a Freshmen. Attention Freshman! Which one of you would like to participate in our rally?"
Only a few freshmen raised their hands. I was so shocked when I saw Cameron's hand up in the air.
"Cameron! What are you doing?" I asked looking at his raised hand.
" I really want to participate. It looks fun," Cam responded.
"Let's see," Said Mr. Bronx, " Who should we pick? How about the young man with the nice brown hair." He was obviously talking about Cameron. Even though I didn't want him to go up there and embarrass himself, I still wanted to see him do it.
" Woooo! Go Cameron!" I said as he walked down the bleachers.
The principal picked three other participants, each one from different grades. The sophomore was named Anne, a Junior named Jaime, and finally a Senior named Benjamin.
" Okay now that we have our participants, now to pick the challenge. Today's challenge will be.... Lip Sync Contest!" The crowd yelled in excitement. I knew Cam was really good at lip syncing and I could tell he was ready for it.
"You have thirty seconds to choose a song," said the principal. Everyone kept yelling songs at all the participants.
"Do a Mexican song! Pick "What makes you beautiful" Cam!" Some freshmen screamed.
"Cameron's really good at lip syncing, this is going to be really funny," someone next to me said. I looked over and saw Andrea.
"Oh Andrea, You scared me. I didn't even notice you." I said.
"Yeah I know, I've been sitting next to you for forever, and all you've been looking at Cam. I think it's cute though," she said giggling.
"I guess I can try paying attention to you more," I joked.

"Okay Cameron," Mr. Bronx said," Your song?"
"I think I'll choose She looks so perfect by 5sos." Cam responded looking excited. The crowd cheered ready for Cam's performance. I screamed so loud that Andrea turned to me and asked,  "Woah calm down there. I know your his girlfriend but your gonna lose your voice," she said laughing.
"I'll try and calm down," I said laughing as well.
We waited as the other students chose their song. They picked "What Do You Mean" Justin Bieber, "Hello" by  Adele, and  "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony.
Cameron was up first and I couldn't stop from laughing. The whole crowd cheered and laughed. As he lip synced, he copied all the dance moves from Just dance 2015, and when it said, "You look so perfect standing there in my American Apparel Underwear," he turned to the crowd, pulled down his pants and showed his underwear. And when the beat dropped Cam did a backflip and the splits. "OOOOOO!" The whole crowd cheered.  The crowd cheered so loud for Cam I could barely hear the song.  Cam finished his song and dropped the mic.
"Give it up for Cameron everyone!" The whole crowd cheered once more and Cam looked so proud.
The others finished and it was finally judging time.
"The winner will be determined by your screaming, So make sure and scream as loud as you can." Mr. Bronx said.
They started with the seniors, who did "Worth It". People cheered but it was mostly just the seniors since no one else liked their performance. Then it was juniors, who did "Hello" In my opinion, they were better than seniors, but Cameron did better. People cheered for them but not loud. Then came sophomores, who did "What Do You Mean." The girl who did it was really good. she borrowed another persons hoodie and looked like Justin Bieber a little since she was also blond. The crowd went wild for her. There were screams and whistles and claps. Then it was freshmen.
"Give it up for Cameron!" The crowd instantly screamed even some of the sophomores clapped for us. The ground started rumbling again and I knew we for sure won.
"It was really close, but the obvious winners, and my personal favorite performance, The FRESHMEN!" said the principal. I was so happy for Cameron I stood up and started shouting ,"CAMERON,CAMERON,CAMERON!" Soon everyone joined and Cameron started bowing.
"The prize for winning is...........NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY!!!" I was so happy to not have school on Monday because that meant I could spend time with Cameron
