Chapter 2

Tuesday- 3:00am

Summer

Waking up the next morning I really didn't feel like getting up Tuesday's are the worst mostly mornings and I don't like customers getting wrong with me I have a bad temper.

Getting out of bed I threw on my uniform and got everything I would need for the day. Before leaving I made sure I had everything and locked up my apartment. I was walking down the steps when suddenly somebody bumped into me.

"Damn, watch where you going." I said.

"My bad lil mama I didn't mean to." He said.

"Yea whatever." I said walking off towards my car.

Thinking about what had just happened I unlocked my car door, that guy completely just pissed me off. I pulled out of the parking lot noticing I was receiving a call from Tré.

"Hello." I answered.

"Good Morning babygirl."

"Good Morning." I said smiling.

My entire attitude had changed just that quick hearing Tré's voice always makes me happy.

"You on your way to work?" He asked."

"Yea even though I really don't want to, I think I'm going to go check on my mom today after work."

"That's good, how she doing anyway?"

"She's alright but I just feel like it's been months since I last saw her."

"I understand I honestly know how you feel."

"It's just sometimes I feel like I don't talk to her enough but it's ok I will soon, I'm at work I'll talk to you when I get off."

"Alright I Love You."

"I Love You Too bye."

"Bye."

1:00pm

"Mom." I yelled walking into her house with the spare key she had gave me.

"Girl stop yelling in my house"

"Lol I'm sorry, I missed you mom."

"I miss you too babygirl."

"What you do today?"

"Oh I just went grocery shopping, ran a few errands."

"That's good it gets you out the house do you want to do something this weekend ma?"

"Girl your dad is taking me on a surprise date I'll have to go with you some other time sweetie I'm sorry."

"It's ok I'll just call Bri."

Bri is my bestfriend I've known her since middle school and we been down every since. She's been with me through every struggle.

"So tell me any luck on meeting someone?"

"Ugh mom really you ask me this every time we talk."

I haven't really told my mom about Tré yet because I feel she won't like us dating she knows I've talked to him for a while but she doesn't know we're dating simply because she isn't very open to long distance relationships.

"Well I just wan't to know child you've been single for damn near 4 years you need to get your life."

"Dang ma it's like that let me go talk to pops cause you wild for that."

"Lol well he upstairs in the bedroom."

I made my way upstairs to find my dad and he was knocked out on the bed with the TV on I decided not to wake him and to just head home instead.

Once I got home I called Bri to see if she wanted to hang out this weekend.

"Bihh why you ain't called me in two days?" She asked me answering the phone.

"Guhh I been working I been tired as hell."

"I understand, they been working my ass up there at BK."

"Lol anyway what you doing this weekend?"

"Girl nun you know I don't be having nun to do."

"Well do you wanna go out to eat or some?"

"Yea it beats sitting in this apartment all damn day I be lonely, oh gawd I need a man."

"Guh you so goofy I can't with you I'm gone talk to you later boo."

"Alright Love You Rai." She said referring to me by the nickname she gave me she chose my middle name which is Railan.

"Love you too Bri." I said hanging up the phone.

I was so tired all I wanted to do was take a shower and sleep. Going to my bedroom I checked to see if Tré had texted me, seeing that he didn't I wondered why he hadn't texted me back I hadn't heard from him since I had went to work earlier.

Sitting my phone down on my nightstand I thought about what I wanted to do for the rest of the day. I decided to order some pizza and wings and watch Netflix until I got bored.

I was looking for a movie to watch when the doorbell rung indicating that my food was here. I was so hungry I hadn't ate since before work.

Answering the door I got my food and signed off on it. After I got myself situated I had finally found something to watch I had decided on The Boy since I loved scary movies.

Halfway through the movie I had dozed off only to be woke up by my phone ringing it was Tré.

"Hello." I said with a raspy voice I hated talking on the phone when I just woke up I didn't like the way I sounded.

"Hey baby, what you doing?"

"I was watching The Boy but I had fell asleep."

"I missed you, how was your day?"

"It was alright, I can't lie I'm a little disappointed we didn't really get to talk."

"I'm sorry ma I've been working all day."

"It's alright I just forgot, but I'm tired I'm going to take a shower and call it a night."

"Alright I love you Summer."

"I love you too Tré."

I got in the shower and stayed in for longer that I thought I kept dozing off.

After getting out I put on lotion, put on my clothes, and brushed my teeth. Getting all of that done I went and made sure everything was locked up and got in the bed.

I started thinking about Tré as I laid there and drifted off to sleep.

Hey guysss I know that chapter was a little boring but I wanted to give you a little background about Summer it wasn't much but you'll learn more throughout the book about everyone but I hope you enjoyed the update 😩
