Chapter 14

Summer

Me and James had literally been texting since last night. I think he is a really nice guy but I'm going to take things slow considering what I just went through.

I honestly feel like things are starting to change and its a good change. All I had to do was pray about it and give all glory to God and he showed me the way. I walk around feeling unstoppable sometimes knowing that I'm in a better place. I got a good head on my shoulders and a lot going for myself its only a matter of time before the right man comes along and helps me complete my family.

Taking me out my thoughts my phone started to ring. It was Bri I wonder where the hell she been at because she sure ain't been talking to me.

"Hello" I said answering the phone.

"Hello my darling" Bri said.

"Don't hello my darling me, I'm mad at you every since you got your little boyfriend you don't pay no type of attention to me anymore. We don't even go out anymore and we always go out even if its just one day out of the week."

"Ahh hush guhh, I had to get my health together and stuff I had a lot going on."

"Well bitch you already know what I'm going to say...I'm your bestfriend you should have told me and we could have went through it together!"

"Ok ok look I have to tell you something"

I didn't know if I should be scared or not because usually when Bri has to tell me something its not good news.

"Ok tell me then."

"Ok the reason I haven't been talking to you & going out is because I'm pregnant."

"Oh My God, I'm so happy for you bestfriend but you still could have told me instead of leaving me out in the cold."

"I didn't tell anybody but baby daddy, we decided together that we wouldn't tell anybody because there was a chance the baby wasn't going to make it. There were complications in the beginning but the doctor told me once I reached the 6 month stage I would be in the clear.

"So you didn't tell anybody so that you didn't jinx it, I totally understand bestfriend I'm so excited right now."

I would have never thought Bri would have finally settled down. She was the last person to even think about starting a family but I guess her man done changed her but I'm so proud of her growth. I'm happy he came along for her.

"Yes ma'am and you're going to be a God mother so get ready!"

"I'm already ready, girl you already know what's next I'm going to start buying stuff."

"Lol alright its a girl so I already know you're going to spoil her."

"Omg I for sure know she going to be spoiled now."

"Girl you already know, but I'm going to call you later, I'm about to head out to the doctor I'll let you know how it goes."

"Alright be safe."

"We will, bye"

"Bye"

The amount of joy that just went through me is unexplainable like I really can't believe my baby is having a baby. I'm so proud of her like she has grown a lot. I'm so excited to be a God mother I've always wanted to be one and now I've finally got my dream.

I was cleaning up the house when I got a text from James.

Well I guess my day just gone be filled with exciting things huh? I didn't expect James to ask me out but I'm glad he did because he's a character honestly, but I want to get to know him a little bit better so we will see how this date goes.

I just hope all goes well because I do not want to go through anything I don't have to.
