Josh's POV:
Wow...I can't believe Collins ex, Raheem, actually came to the house. I can't say I didn't feel any jealousy because I did. Not that I'm jealous of Raheem but of his old relationship with Collins. I guess I just wanted to be her first. Anyway, her dad still hasn't come home yet so we're still here watching Maury and eating pizza.
"I knew, he was the father" Collins says with a smile.
"You know, I've never heard of this show before I met you."
"That's because you were too hooked on Jeopardy ."
"Ha ha ha, very funny"
She leans on my shoulder.
"Today's been a long day" she said closing her eyes.
"Yeah...I know. But it's going okay." I say moving her head to my lap so she can fall asleep. I grab the remote and turn off the TV.
She soon drifts away on my lap and all I can think about is Raheem, in a non gay way. He really came to the house? I can't believe it.
I soon fall asleep also with her laying on my lap. About an hour later the doorbell rings.
I shouldn't get it. It might wake Collins. But...What if it's Raheem? He did say he was going to come back. But this soon? I don't think so. The door is soon unlocked and in walks Collin's dad.
"Hi, Mr. Jones" I say with a smile.
"Hello, Joshua." He says taking off her jacket and putting it on one of the hooks. He then walks over and sits next to me. "Collins wake up sweetie" He says shaking her hard. Very Hard.
"Don't you think that's kind of harsh." He's shaking the life outta her.
"Shut up, Joshua."
"Sorry" Dang.
"If I don't do this she'll never wake up."
Collins wakes up really cranky." What the hell do you want dad! Letting Raheem come in here! What the hell were you thinking!" she says taking her head off my lap. I can tell she is hot.
I know she has a right to be mad but she should never curse at her father like that. It's plain disrespectful.
"Collins...I think-"
"Shut up Josh!"
Wow. She never told me to shut up before. That's a first.
"I'm just-"
"Josh, shut the hell up!"
Cranky.
"Joshua, I think you should leave now. Can you give us some time alone." Mr. Jones says.
Yeah I don't think that's a good idea. She may kill you.
He glares at me with an indescribable face.
"Sure Mr. Jones, I'll be going." I say getting up and walking towards the door. "Bye Collins"
She gives me a glare also. "Bye"
Yeah...She's in a bad mood. But I can't blame her. If my dad let one of my exes in our house, I would be furious.
I open the door and walk outside to my Camaro. Turn the engine on and start driving. I turn the radio on. Nothing is on but rap.
Ugggg. I HATE rap. The only reason I listen to Tupac is because of Collins. She's so upset.i understand. But I guess I should head home. I wonder where dad is at. Hmmm. He's probably still at work.
Fifteen minutes later I arrive at our mansion. I buzz in and the gate soon opens. Collins always loved our mansion. It is very beautiful. The cream coating of the paint covered the whole mansion and shined as the sun beat down on it. The smell of neatly trimmed grass always made her smile at me. The roof is peaked slanting down at an angle. The windows have royal purple curtains hanging on the other sides of them, ALWAYS opened. It is a quite extravagant house. Collins always said it reminded her of the movies you see with the princesses and stuff. I didn't agree but that was her opinion.
After parking my car in the lot, I head for the door, passing the marble fountain sitting towards the middle of the lawn. An dolphin was perched at the top looking towards the sky. Water spurted from it's mouth. The water fell gently towards the crystal blue pools beneath it, until reaching the bottom. I think the fountain is my favorite part of the front yard.
I stabbed the doorbell. I left my keys on my desk upstairs. Our butler, Timothy opens the door.
"Master Joshua, nice afternoon " he says welcoming me in.
"Hey, Tim" I say walking in. I looked down at our Valentino gray marble floor. " Wow, did you clean today Tim? It's more shiny than I've ever seen it."
That sounds so....weird....Bad question.
"That's because you're never here, Josh" said my step-mother, Elizabeth. When I am around her, I can't blame Collins for cursing. After my REAL mom died, my dad got really depressed and EXTREMELY lonely. Soon he found Elizabeth. She's a REAL gold digger and we all know it except for my father. I hate her and she hates me. That's just how it is. Yeah, she is a beautiful blonde and acts sweet near my father. But she's evil. Pure evil. But if my dad loves her, I'll put up with it.
"Who said I wanted to be here, huh?" I say walking towards her with a smirk. " I've been trying to avoid you since you got here. But who can miss you when your wearing such skank outfits all the time?" I add, looking her up and down.
Tim snickers but seconds later puts on a straight face. Of course Elizabeth turns red and tries to smack me. I move back. This happens a lot. I smile at her, turn around, and walk up the stairs that climb towards our roof deck.
Elizabeth stands at the bottom step still humiliated. "Look at you Josh. Ever since your mom died you've turned the complete opposite of around. Now, take a look at you! What happened to the professional preppy boy who never used the word skank, huh? Now you've replaced your collared shirts for t-shirts and your dress shoes for...for Vans! You told me that skateboards were juvenile and silly! And what happened to the little boy who followed everything daddy said and would NEVER disrespect a women!"
I turn around and walk back down the steps. I stand in front of her. By now I'm furious. " First of all, NEVER mention my mom again. Ever. And I've changed for the better Elizabeth..... And I still follow one rule my dad told me. You know what that is Elizabeth?. Never disrespect a women. Think about it. What does that say about you, Skank?"
And I walk to my room.
