Emerald

Flashback Dreaming: Lapis Lazuli

Steven ran up to me, with a mirror in his hand. On the back of the mirror was what looked to be a cracked Lazuli gem. My eyes narrowed in confusion. Why the heck would we have this? Where did Steven even find it?

"Emerald, look! Pearl gave me this!"  After Steven turned the mirror towards me, Steven's picture appeared on it and blew a raspberry at me. I blinked. Then blinked again.

"That's... Nice Steven."

"Yeah, Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst wouldn't believe me when I told them the mirror was its own person."

My eyes widened in surprise. That explained the raspberry thing.

Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl came running out of the house, and Garnet looked upset.

"U-Uh-oh..." Steven has murmured and rand down to the beach. Garnet looked over towards me and motioned for me to follow her lead.

"Steven, that thing could be dangerous, man. Just give it here already!" Amethyst had said, reaching her hand out towards Steven, who shook his head. He looked down at the mirror and muttered something, then starts trying to separate the cracked Lazuli gem from it.  My eyes had widened in surprise, as the gem came off and started forming someone.

Lapis had soft blue skin, short, fluffy blue hair and mirror like eyes. She looked at Steven, said something I couldn't hear, and when Steven shook his head she looked over at us, anger flaring in her  like a fire.

"YOU. You all knew I was in there yet you did nothing!"  She yelled at us, her anger sparking even more.

'This isn't gonna be good...'  I had thought.

Lapis had formed a large hand out of water, which she had hit Garnet with, and then later had made copies of each of us out of water. I had tried to talk her down from her high of anger, but it only served to make her more angry with us.

'There's a tower of water in the sky. Made of water.'  That was the first intelligent, or  unintelligent, thought I had that morning, when we had awoke to see that there was indeed a tower of water leading up into space.

The rest of the day is sort of a haze, all I can remember is that Steven had went into the Tower, talked to and healed  Lapis apparently, and then the tower was falling down. Everything was blurry  for awhile after that... I'm not sure what happened during that time, although I've never really asked about it. I know that Lapis went home, and that the ocean regained its water.

~~Garnet's P.O.V~~

I looked over at Emerald, to see her gem projecting her dream. It was replaying what had happened when Lapis went back to Homeworld. After a few minutes everything started to blur, like the images on Steven's TV would sometimes. Emerald opened her eyes and looked around, smilling when she spotted me.

"Good morning, G."

"It's three in the afternoon." I replied, showing a small, fond smile. Emerald would always sleep during random times when we didn't have a mission, (even though we should be looking for Peridot)and I know that's where Amethyst got it from.

Hopefully Steven won't take up their random sleeping patterns.
