Percy POV:
I was flashed home to Camp Half-Blood by the gods. They said that they would bring the Argo II back later, and we would burn the shrouds of the fallen as well.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the camp in havoc. Two armies were fighting in the middle of the field, and many of the cabins were burning. I realised I was on Half-Blood Hill, next to the Athena Parthenos. Our plan to have Reyna and Nico take the statue to camp, and make peace must not have worked.
Having an idea, I summoned all the water from the lake to hover above the heads of the warriors. Sensing the change in atmosphere, they all looked up. Taking my chance in the moment of silence, I shouted out to the campers and legionnaires. "Greeks! Romans! I have come from a battle between the Seven foretold by the prophecy against the Giants and Gaea!" I shouted. "I am the only survivor! The gods and demigods fought valiantly, but perished before the enemy! However, there is a spot of light on this dark day! The Earth Mother has been vanquished! So I ask you to lay down your arms; and make peace, to honor our fallen, and unite! For we are but a drop in the ocean separately, but together, we have the power to vanquish all of the dark in this world!" To be honest, I didn't know where the speech came from, and I felt no happiness. However, my words seemed to work, because; like a wave, the Greeks started to drop their weapons, and now their heads. Then the Romans did the same. Octavian was the only one left with a weapon in his hand. He was shouting at the Romans to stand up and fight. "Octavian," I said, getting his attention, "you have displeased your patron, and dishonored New Rome, as well as your fallen. For this, I ask you to lay down your weapon, or suffer the consequences." Octavian still refused, so I walked down the hill and cut off his head. I had forgotten how much I hated that guy. The Romans and Greeks slowly stepped forwards, and agreed to burn their dead together, and make an alliance in case of future wars.
