Blade shifted around the bed, slowly adjusting his sight as he adapts to the near surrounding. The clock on the bedside drawer read 7:32 am.He mentally cursed; normally he never woke up that early in the morning.
Blade turned so that he was now laying on his back. His brows crease into a frown, clearly confused and disliking the cold, wet liquid that soaked the sheets beneath him.
"What the hell..." He grumbled, about to abruptly sit up when his eyes wander off to his side.
Beside him, laid an sleeping female. His eyes trailed down her bare sun-kissed back and the slight curve of her waist. She smelled so good; of daisies and vanilla, and now--a trace of him could be caught beneath the hint of her scent. He internally smiled, remembering last night's steamy moments. How they both were so engaged in one another that they haven't bothered to dry themselves off from the shower before going to bed.
His initial intention of bedding her was to extinguish the extreme cravings he was having for her because of the mate bond. Little did he know, it had only caused for the connection between them to grow stronger, making him want her even more. This little mate game was growing farther out of his reach, with it holding underlying consequences.
Lily stirred around from the sudden shifting of the bed. Her eyes winces open in pain as her lower body throbs with the slightest movement.
Lily's eyes were glazed, and her cheeks were tear stained from silently crying herself to sleep last night.
Fully mating with Blade last night felt amazing, and it fulfilled a part of her that she never knew existed, except the aftermath of her thinking about the situation they were both in was enough to lower her spirits. To be with someone who didn't feel the same way about her was nothing to sigh and daydream about. Instead, it had cut a deep hole in her heart, a wound that nothing and no one would ever be able to heal.
She felt used in a way.
Submissive and weak."Lily." The name only sounded odd coming from his mouth. No affection, no warmth, nothing.
She squeezed her eyes shut, praying that he would hurry and get up, then leave.
"I know you're awake."
Lily shifted to the very edge of the bed, clinging onto the bedsheets for what seemed like dear-life.
Firm arms suddenly slid underneath her and scooped her up. She gripped the sheets closer to her body, frightened that there would be any exposure.
"Let me go!" Her voice croaked; unsuccessful with trying to push his chest away from her.
Blade noticed the stains on Lily's cheeks and frowned.
Lily noticed the sudden stillness in the air and turned her head, annoyed and worried that Blade had seen her tears.
"What is the meaning of this?"
She silently scoffed, wondering if he was playing with her or was truly stupid.
After what felt like an eternity trapped in midair, Lily was greeted with a harsh throw to the bed. She gasped, hurriedly bringing the cover back onto her frail body and threw a glare at Blade. His cold, harsh self was back.
"There's no need to do that, there isn't anything I haven't seen." He said with a smug look. His voiced dripped with arrogance and tease.
"Get out!"
Lily was already emotionally unstable at the moment, and the presence of Blade in the room wasn't comforting her any better.
"Are you unsatisfied about your first night? Should we perhaps give it a second try?" Blade's icy tone teased her as he edged closer and closer onto the bed. Their faces were centimeters apart, and he enjoyed the flushed-red look creeping onto her face.
Blade's face was abruptly struck, and the impact silenced the room, obscuring even the city life around them. Time stopped, and for once Lily was afraid that this man would kill her.
The breath-taking waves in his eyes vanished, within them, a growing darkness submerged. His hands gripped onto both of Lily's arms and in a flash, she was pinned against the wall, the sudden impact sure to leave behind some bruises.
"Ow-Blade, you're hurting me." She managed to breathe out while she wiggles beneath his grip. Fear really began to sink in, and she was desperate to get out of this whole situation.
"You're in no place to ever put your hands on me in that manner." He growled in her face, trying to control his breathing. "Let this be a warning."
Tears welled in her eyes, fighting to be released but she refused to let Blade see just how much he was affecting her.
"And you have no place in bringing me here against my will and use me the way you did."
He laughed, the icy sound reverberating throughout the room. "I never forced you, did I? Or should I remind you?" He pushed on, knowing that this would hit Lily hard.
The tears managed to escape. Last night, Lily would like to think that the mate bond was to blame for what had happened. In reality, she had never wanted to give up her virginity like that. It was the bond that clouded her mind and thoughts, that took control of her.
Blade couldn't stand to see Lily crying. He knew that he was being too aggressive but he refused to change his ways for a pathetic bond. And because of that bond, he felt the deep-wrenching pain that Lily was feeling.
That are caused by him.
Because of him.
He released her with a growl and stormed out of the bedroom.
Slowly, Lily's legs gave out as she slid down against the wall.
This was a battle where she would never win.
The most torturous, painful type of curse--one where you love the person you hate most.

Deimos calmly tilted the wine glass from side to side. He was still thinking about the soft hazel eyes of that little wolf. Such satisfaction he felt when he spotted her in the forest. Adrenaline rushed through his veins when he caught sight of something new. She was an easy sight for sore eyes that longed for challenge, trouble. Eyes that are decades old. It had been centuries since a woman had caught his full attention.
It was times like these that called for an celebration.
Deimos couldn't pinpoint the relationship between her and Blade, but was reluctant to know that Blade had messed it up once again by being himself, and the girl was truly horrified.
Although he was kind of disappointed that this wouldn't be a challenge. When was the last time he had acquired himself in a mischievous game?
He silently sent Blade his gratitudes though. If it wasn't for the old wolf's aggression, it would not have been easy to get Lily all to himself.
Deimos manifested another white rose between his fingers. It was perfectly thornless, reminding him of Lily, curious and intrigued of their next encounter...
