Prom came fast. It is in a week and I still didn't pick my dress out yet. In school, this year, they decided to have prom king and queen like they did in high school. I really didn't know who to vote for, for king and queen. I stood looking at the list of people for king and queen. As I looked at the people for queen list, I saw my name. What was my name doing there? I thought everyone didn't like me. There were 3 other people we had to choose from. One of them was Bonnie. Probably Bonnie threatens people to vote for her. I looked at the king list and there were also 4 names. I saw Andre's name and Trevor's name. Bonnie and Trevor really threatened people.

"I hope you become prom queen, Jasmine," one of my friends said to me.

"Thank you," I said and then I looked back at the sheet. I hope it wasn't a crime to vote for yourself because I did and of course I voted for Andre. After I circled the names, I folded the paper and put it into the voting box.

"You're not going to make prom queen," someone I didn't like said behind me. My worst nightmare. Bonnie.

"What do you want Bonnie?" I said turning around and looked at her.

"Nothing just telling you now that you are not going to be prom queen."

"And I should care why?"

"Because you voted for yourself"

"Sooo...there wasn't anyone else on the list I wanted to be prom queen and I don't care if I'm prom queen or not. I have my king and I'm his queen and that's good for me, so if you'll excuse me I'd like to go to him now," I said walking and putting my hand up like I was popular and walking through a crowd. I was really proud of myself. I stood up to Bonnie and I wasn't even terrified.

It was lunchtime and I told Andre to go on without me. When I got in the cafeteria, I saw Andre sitting and eating. I quickly got my food and sat next to him.

"Hey baby," I said as I kissed his cheek as I sat down.

"Hey beautiful," he said looking at me. For some reason I just couldn't stop smiling. Maybe it was because I stood up to Bonnie.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I'm just happy that I stood up to Bonnie, earlier as I was voting for prom king and queen."

"What did you tell her?"

"Well she was telling me that I wasn't going to be prom queen, but I told her I didn't care because I already have my king and he already has his queen," I said moving closer to him and looking deeply in his eyes.

"I'm proud of you."

"Thank you."

"I'm your king huh?"

"Yes," I said blushing, "and I'm your queen," getting closer to him.

"So what would my queen like?"

"She would like a kiss," I said getting closer to him. He put his hand under my chin and guided my head closer to him. Then he kissed me.

"Get a room," I heard someone say and it was no other than Bonnie.

"Don't be mad that I'm getting some and you're not," I said turning my head and looking at her. Bonnie didn't fight back this time; instead she just walked away because everyone was laughing at her. I looked at Andre and he was smiling.

"I'm sooo proud of you sweetie."

"Thank you." Then he kissed me again.

The rest of the school day went by fast. When it was over, Andre and I held hands and walked home. When we got home, we went up into the tree house.
