A New Path

Chapter 11: Prom

I woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed. I haven't sleep sooo peacefully in sooo long. I looked back at Trevor and he was still sleeping. I turned back my head and closed my eyes. A few minutes passed and I felt a little kiss on my neck. Trevor was up. I lay on my back and looked at him. Trevor stayed on his side, and had his hand on my stomach.

"Good morning," I said as I smiled at him.

"Good morning beautiful," he said. I got up a little and kissed him. I gave him one last kiss and lay back down.

"I don't know about you, but I had the best sleep ever."

"I did too," I said smiling at him, "did you watch the movie?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because once you said good night I knew you were going to be out in a few minutes. I knew you were tired so I paused it because it barely started. I didn't want to watch a movie without you watching it with me."

"You are too good to be true." He started smiling and I smiled back.

"I want you to meet my parents," he said.

"When?"

"I don't know if they are up yet but one day."

"Ok."

"I'm going to make breakfast for you."

"When?"

"Now," he said taking my hand. I got up and looked at him.

"May I have a tooth brush please?"

"Sure." He walked out the room and got a tooth brush for me. We both headed to the bathroom and brushed our teeth. When we finished, Trevor had picked me up and took me downstairs. He was really strong. He put me on a chair around the island.

"Thank you," I said.

"Welcome," he said as he pinned me between his arms and the island.

"What?" I asked looking up at him.

"Nothing," he said, smoothly as he looked down at me. We just looked at each other. He put his hand on the side of my neck and kissed me. He was such a great kisser. Suddenly, I heard someone make a sound. Trevor and I stopped and looked towards the sound. I'm guessing it was Trevor's father. He was tall and built like Trevor. He was handsome so I knew where Trevor got his good looks from.

"Did I interrupt something?" his dad asked.

"Yes dad."

"Well I'm sorry," he said sarcastically.  Trevor just shook his head.

"Dad this is my girl, Jasmine."

"Oh...this is the girl you've liked, like forever?"

"Yes," Trevor said, embarrassed.

"Hi Jasmine," he said as he shook my hand.

"Hi, nice to meet you."

"You too."

"Where's mom," Trevor asked.

"She's upstairs sleeping."

"I'll let you meet her another time," he said looking at me.

"Ok."

"So Jasmine let me ask you something. What finally made you say yes to my boy?"

"It's a long story."

"I have all day," he said as he sat down.

"Ok. Well when I was 10, I started dating my best friend, the guy Bonnie like. He left before 6th grade and I haven't seen him since, but we were still together all that time. Since I started senior year, I haven't heard from Andre. I knew Trevor liked me more since I started high school, but I really didn't pay him any attention because I was still in love with Andre. On Thursday, Trevor asked if we could get something to eat and I said yes. He told me that he liked me. I decided to give him a chance since I don't want to spend the rest of my life waiting for Andre, if I don't even know if I'm going to see him again. If I happen to see him again and something happens it happens. Also I realized that when he called me the night I said yes to Trevor, I didn't really love him as much as I used to because I don't like long distance relationships. I like relationships where we can connect both physically and emotionally and Trevor gives me both. I love Andre but when I'm with Trevor I feel loved. I've never really felt that before. If I see Andre again and I happen to fall in love with him again then I will stay with him because he was my first. If I don't, then I'm sticking with Trevor."
