Chapter 5: A Great Loss

Okami-Ryu's P.O.V

I kept flying, farther and farther away from the sight of Nikoru's labarinth opening up. I kept crying and crying. My tears flew down through the sky, it was if it was raining on Nikoru's labryinth site. Farther and farther away from that horrible sight I saw. It was unbearable, I went farther then my clan. All that was left was for me to sit on a cloud and cry as much as I could, even I couldn't free Nikoru from the curse of becoming a witch. Even  my sword Akivira won't be able to save her.
"Is that what you really show yourself Okami-Ryu? You one of the strongest Wolf Dragons in your clan." i turned around and it was Kyubey before my own eyes.
"Kyubey...I can't save Nikoru, not in this state."
"So tell me Okami-Ryu do you by chance love Nikoru Shimizu?"
"Of course I do, which is why I hate Mami right now...she...she's the one who turned Nikoru into a witch Kyubey."
"Becoming a witch is a part of the natural cycle of a magical girl, they all become one at some point but if you'd like it's not too late to save her."

I stared at Kyubey and looked at him in shock.
How Kyubey! How can I save Nikoru-chan from this?"
"Simple head back to her labryinth and I'll give you more details there."
"W-Wait Kyubey!"
Before I knew it Kyubey was gone. That's when I realised, you can't fight without having something to fight for and the thing I fight for is...Nikoru's soul. I got up and flew as fast as I could back to my clan I had a few things to pick up before I left to finish the final fight.

"Okami-Ryu you're back!" my friend Kye had shouted.
"I'm not back for long I have a few things to pick up before I leave again."
"Why are you leaving again though?"
"Because Kye, I have to finish a fight for my beloved."
"Do you need help?"
I was exstatic to hear that.
"Kye, if you help me with this know that this fight will be a dangerous one."
"I will do what I must for you Okami-Ryu-sama."

"Do you know where my sword Akivira is?"
"It should be in the same place it always is, in your case at your den."
"What is this fight for in the first place?"
"It's hard to explain Kye..."
"Tell me please, friends don't keep secrets from each other."
I proceeded to tell him the whole entire story about what had happened up to that point when Nikoru became a witch.
"Wow that's rough...I'd hate to be you right now, and you say this weird cat monster helped you understand as well?"
"Kyubey...he's been helping me a lot lately."
I looked ahead of me and there was my sword, at the blacksmith's
"Akavira!"

"Oh Okami-Ryu you're back, I was just sharpening Akivira up for you. I was told that you were heading into a dangerous fight."
"That I am Smyth...this may very well determine the fate of the world."
"Oh will it? Do you need any armour or anything?" 
"Thanks but I don't need any, I'm coming back in one piece."
"I'll look after your den for you."
"Thank you Smyth."

I went to my den and got my best suited outfit for a battle.
"Okami-Ryu where are we off to?"
"To war..."
Kye and I proceeded to transform into our Dragon Wolf forms and we flew off to the Labryinth.
