"thank you." I said as zayn pushed the last box into the back of my small car.
"no problem. are you sure about leaving, lots of people are gonna miss you." said zayn walking over to me, small pieces of snow and gravel slushing under his converse.
"its not like I leaving for ever, im coming back, in..." I took a moment to think about it. it was about 2 months.
"2 months." zayn replied, someone's been thinking about that for a long time, huh?
"stalkerish, much?" I asked laughing at the end of my question. zayn and I are such dorks, but nobody really gets to no us. or at least the few people that do end up screwing us over. I felt bad for zayn, I knew he was fighting the pain of yet another person he loved, or liked, popping out of his life. it probably killed him on the inside, at least I knew it did for me, with the harry thing. perrie has been gone for... 3 weeks now. she took off with one of jesy's friends from high school. zayn said that he talked to her over the phone, and ' quote unquote' he wasn't the one for her. he came over to my house after that, and let me tell you nothing compares to a truly heart broken boy like zayn. he cried for her, she was his everything. and for her to just leave like that, terrible. I hated doing this to him but if I didn't get out now, zayn and me would get close. that's exactly what happened with me and niall and I could bare for something like that to happen again.
"heyyy, Ashley! are you ready?" jade screamed from inside the house. the girls had came back from ellie's cousin, Scotts house yesterday and they knew nothing about the niall thing but they knew about harry. jade, was pissed. that's the only way I could describe it, and ellie was too but jade, whoa.
"yeah, hold on." I replied. me and zayn looked at each other for a few seconds until he opened his arms as if he wanted a hug. leaning in I wrapped my arms around his waist and he slung his over my shoulders, despite my shorter high. I didn't want to leave but I had to, I had already ruined to many things. I did that best.
"know that when you leave," he whispered squeezing me a little tighter. I didn't have a hug like this before, not even by harry. jades and ellie's were crazy, Harry's were passionate, Nialls were friendly. this was... warmth. gratitude. protection.
but for what, I had no idea.
"I, will always be here for you." he continued, why do people always do this. 'accepting the love we think we think we deserve', though we deserve even better what we settled for. its so hard to leave- until you actually leave, that's when you realize your reality, your truths, and your fates. your ends and beginning's, but does and ending start a beginning or does a beginning lead to an end?
"why do people always do this?" I asked him as we held that hug for a few more seconds until I let go and we stopped hugging.
"do what?" said zayn, as a statement more than a question.
"make it so hard for one person to leave?" he only shrugged and that's when ellie and said ran out of the house and attacked me with hugs and words that I couldn't possibly understand because they were utterly gibberish and weird, ALL. THE. TIME.
"Ashley, why do you have to leave! Ashley yeah don't- not today-but we'll miss- im gonna miss you the most!" they both screamed conjoining their sentences as the yelled.
"what are you talking about, I knew her longer foo'!" said jade, being the kind of ghetto one and pushing ellie back so she stumbled a little and looked at us with an awe face.
"noo! Ashley's mine!" ellie screamed and pushed jade off me and smacking her in the nose a little bit.
knowing jade, she over-reacted. "owwww, owwww! ma' nose! she hit me, Ashley, mommmyyy! smack 'err, just smack 'err, do it Ashley! jade screamed childishly as she sat down on the wettish grown and grabbing hold of my leg.
"jade come- come on, get up off the floor, its wet. come 'on." I said helping her up. ellie just stood there with her arms crossed and an ' I won ' face.
"geez, you guys are crazy. I think ash is the sanest person here." said zayn with a funny look on his face and his arms crosses, leaning up against my car.
"I know right?" I replied pulling jade off the ground.
"well better get a move on it." ellie said hopping into the car.
"what's the rush, we have... a half an hour?" I said looking at my phones watch for the time.
"oh shut up and get in the damn car, both of ya." jade said as she slammed one of the back doors on my car and ellie's door followed behind her.
