Charlottes PoV:
"Hey Phil!" I say hugging him, he hugs back, with an empty smile on his face.
"Hi charl..." He sighs slightly.
"What's wrong?" I ask quietly, he looks at me and I realise it's a stupid question. "So, what's gonna happen?" I ask breaking the awkward silence.
"I'll move? Find a house? Go back to my home." Phil mutters.
Leave? He can't leave! He is my best friend, and him and Dan are still in a relationship.
"What about Dan?!" I shout, my eyes filling with tears.
"It's obvious he doesn't want me Charlotte, if he wanted me he wouldn't be embarrassed to say we are in a relationship, he wouldn't have kissed you, he would've been loyal." Phil says gently, putting his hand on mine.
Phils phone buzzes and he quickly looks at it, his face turns pale, and he looks asif he has seen a ghost.
"Phil what?" I say growing impatient.
"Nothing oh uh- I gotta go." Phil stutters, standing up and walking away.
"Phil! Wait!" I shout, but he has already gone.
*later in the day*
I walk into the house, a feeling of relief growing inside me as the warm air hits my face. I walk to the kitchen to see Lissy and Anna cooking, while Joe, Caspar and Tash play a card game around the dining room table.
"AUNTIEEE CHARLOOOOTT" Jade screeches, hugging my leg with Theo and James standing awkwardly behind.
"Hi!" I laugh, she lets go and runs to play. I hesitantly walk upto the counter to get a warm smile from Anna, as she sets out the table.
"Thankyou!" I say taking a finger dip of the cake mix Lissy is making.
"Hey!" She says aiming her whisk at me.
"Don't ever bring up what happened in high school again Charlotte! That wasn't cool." Lissy mutters sternly.
"Wait?! You brought up high school to Dan?! Drama!" Anna laughs.
"Hey! You shut it!" Lissy shouts over to Anna. "And you... You don't know what actually happened! So don't pin it on Dan!" She sighs at me.
"Yeah Lissy, nobody knows what happened, except for you, Dan, Phil and whoever else was involved." Anna giggles, enjoying the drama.
"I wasn't involved! I just found out something I shouldn't have! Now you! Can it and help me split this mixture." Lissy exclaims, pointing at Anna.
Anna sighs and runs to help Lissy.
"Where is Dan? Phil ran off after getting a text." I ask.
"Oh... Umm. Just out." Lissy mutters suspiciously.
"Yeah k." Anna smiles, while Lissy elbows her in the stomach.
