It was a few years after the wammy's house,Mello and Matt had gained some age since then,Mello being eighteen,and Matt Seventeen.

the two had been through a lot together, and together theyr remained, working out their differences with a fight of fists.Although Matt was stalkier Mello always got the best of him.the two saw sunsets together and grew closer,the two slept in darkness and separated company,fortunate events occurred meeting the two again.this is a lot to take in.As the two accept eachother and waited to see what lies ahead the dark path of fate as they accompanied one another through thick and thin never the less strong.

At a small restreraunt sat a brunette with goggles,vest, black and white undershirt,a smile and a freshly lit cigarette,across the table sat a blonde head,with a black vest,laced black leather pants,and in his hand a chocolate bar,wrapped in aluminum foil,he took a large chunk out of it as he looked over at Matt.

"What,Mells?"Matt looked up feeling Mello's stair.

"I was on the phone..with Near..."Mello said his eyes a bright blue.

"Mells,you know I don't like you to talk to him..its not beacuse I hate him,It just always feels like he picks on you...like he is always better,he cant work his little magic on me,Mells.."Matt grumped blowing fresh smoke through parted lips.

"Well,yes I don't like it just as much as you.

"But Near said it was very important."Mello rubbed at his shoulder looking up at the agitated Game geek with confused but understanding eyes.

"Like what,what could be so important,to draw you away from me?"Matt asked narrowing his eyes under his goggles as he sipped on a drink set infront of him.

"Near said I have a message from the wammy's house..L gave it to Rogder.before you go stir crazy...calm yourself,Matt..it was from Beyond Birthday...."Mello said holding his hand under his chin.

"WHAAAAAH"Matt choked out spitting his drink all over Mello with a single blow.

"Grrrrr"Mello growled hitting Matt."Yes and I'm going to meet Near..in a few days to pick it up,he won't come here,and I can't bring you...so Near can have conforming knowing of his own saftey,I haven't got a choice,you never know how important something can be,Matt!"Mello said digging into his chocolate.

"What if that scoundrel plays you,Mello?"Matt said laying a hand on the table.

"Near,play me for a fool?no...he couldn't possibly trick me,once you do a a trick new trick..after the first or second or evan third time it gets a little old."Mello held a piece of chocolate on his tongue

Matt stayed quiet after Mello said these words,watching Mello's every move.

"Now did you get our our hotel room?"Mello snapped,eating what chocolate he had in his mouth.

"You know I did,I am quite hungry though..."Matt said Carelessly,he was playing a video game most likely to be a Ds,the cigarette was tilted in his mouth,the smoke caused Mello to choke a little,Although he loved the smell,reminding him of Matt.

"I know Matt,that's why were here " Mello snapped at Matt with a low hiss.

Matt looked up with caution as he gave a toothy smile as he blew on his ccigarette causing the smoke to drift away from Mello.

"What did I do? But...i still dont want you meeting with Beyond.."Matt said innocently,but in this case this was the start of a fight.

Luckily the waitress came in time to stop Mello from starting the argument.

"Here are you tender Iron steaks.."The woman said placing the colorful plates inbetween the two boys the smell atracted the two boys,one looking at the other.

"Well,as long as your paying."Mello suddenly smiled at Matt,and looked at the food with pleasure

"Wh-what?...me? I don't have any cash on me.."Matt started but Mello finished.

"Whaaat! You're making me buy? I gave you money for the food!"Mello griped.

"Yes and I spent it on my needs.."Matt softly confessed.

"Your needs! Mores like your lusts! I can not belive you!"Mello growled loudly.

"Now what,we don't have any money on us " Matt sighed as he pulled the cigarette from his wet lips.

"Now we make a break for it!"Mello growled as he took off grabbing Matt's hands

XXXXX XX AT THE HOTEL XXXXX XX

"That was terrible.."Mello grumped as he ate another chocolate bar angerly biting into it,as the blonde looked over at Matt angerly.

"But...I'm hungry.."Matt wined tugging on Mello's vest.

Mello shrugged him off and looked at him,his blue eyes flaming."You can't have any of my chocolate..why not eat your cigarette...it's a need isn't it... "

"Mello " Matt sighed sorrily and looked over at him,his eyes not visible due to the thick lenses of his goggles,his facial expressions showed his sorry submission as he neared Mello."Mells,I'm dearly sorry...haven't you noticed,I'm not smoking right now...do you know why?"

Mello gave a thirds glance and a small grunt."Yes,I suppose so...and yes,I guess you arn't...But you smell like..garbage,go take a bath..."

"Well,don't you know where I been today?"He smiled at Mello,raising his arms.

"No,I guess I really just didn't care."Mello looked over at Matt with surprisement as he pulled Matt's arms down."I told you to take a bath...So don't hold up your arms!"

"Listen! Mello! I got a job,I have been out working...at my job to raise us money..so we can eat other things besides chocolate...if you would evan share."

"Whoah! Mattie...I'm so!...Unpleased...."Mello looked away.

"Well,why?"Matt looked upset at his rroommate's displeasure.

"You haven't taken that bath! And you smell horrible!"Mello burst out laughing.

Matt at first was mad but soon joined in as he laughed all the way to the bathroom.
