Marco was starting to get annoyed at all the eyes staring at him. He snarled at the students, causing them to look down at their work. He glared before getting back to his work. Star on the other hand was trying to figure out what was wrong with him. In all the time she's known him she's never seen that side of him before, except for when he had the tentacle arm. But even then he never had a black aura around him. Something was definitely wrong here...

RINGGGGGG!!!

But that would have to wait until after lunch. For now the only thing on her mind was food. Her and Marco made their way to their table until they were stopped by a certain cheerleader.

"Why hello there Marco." a girl in a cheerleaders outfit greeted. She had raven hair and brown eyes. Her name was Brittany Wong. She looked at Star with a distasteful look before addressing Marco again.

"So like, me and the other cheeleaders were wondering if you wanted to come to our party this Saturday." she asked as she handed him a flyer.

Come to my totally awesome party!
Free drinks and music and more!
Invitation only!
No nerds, unpopular kids, and boring people allowed!
Formal attire required.

On the last line, there was red writing where it read 'except Marco Diaz'. He looked at the flyer before looking back at her.

"Why me of all people?" he asked her.

"Well, after what happened this morning, we just had to invite you! Someone who could take down Lars like that had to be cool!" Brittany explained.

"That was just a fluke win." he denied.

"But it you come you make more friends and one of the most popular teens in the school! Who wouldn't want that?" she tempted. He thought about this for a moment before smiling.

"Alright, I'll come." he accepted, making her beam. "But on one condition." Her smile faded into a look of confusion. "I get to bring Star with me."

"What!?" Star and Brittany cried out.

"No way am I gonna let Butter-freak over here come to my party!" Brittany protested.

"Yeah Marco, you should just go without me. I don't mind!" Star said. Marco then put his arm around her and pulled her to him.

"Nope! It's either you get both of us or none of us." he firmly stated. Brittany growled for a second before regaining her composure.

"Fine then you can bring her along. But she better not screw anything up!" Brittany threatened before strutting away.

"Umm, thanks Marco but...you didn't need to do that for me." Star told him.

"Well what kind of friend would I be if I didn't bring you along?" Marco told her as he smiled. Maybe she must've been really hungry or something, but when she saw Marco smile, she felt like butterflies were in her stomach. And it must've been due to the temperature because her face was really hot right now.

What is this feeling? It reminds me of when I was going through mewberty. It feels so much...stronger and sincere. What's happening to me?

"Hey Star, you alright?" Marco asked. Star moved from his grasp and stared at him before running out of the lunch room. "Star!?" he called out to her but she was already in the hallway. She clutched at her heart and took deep breaths. She finally calmed down regained her composure. Then she noticed a presence that wasn't there before.
