Marco was sleeping soundly until a loud roar woke him up. His eyes bolted open and he was about to jump up when he noticed what was in front of him in his bed. A messy haired Star blocked his sight as she snored. He chuckled a little bit before brushing the hair out her face. This actually disturbed her a bit and woke her up. She tried stretching but then remembered where her arms were. She then began to blush slightly and took her arms from around Marco.

"Morning Star." Marco greeted her.

"A-actually it's afternoon." she stuttered out. Marco pulled his arms away from her and looked at the clock. It was 12:36 in the afternoon. Marco shrugged and got out of bed. He went to his bathroom to go freshen up while Star layed there. She sat up and went to her room to get ready for the day as well. While she was freshening up, Marco was talking to a certain entity.

"Alright, talk. Who and what are you?" he asked. Even though no one else was in the bath room, someone began to chuckle. Then, red eyes appeared on Marco's shadow.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm your shadow." the shadow answered.

"I'm not joking! Who are you really? Because I know for a fact that you aren't just a shadow or any part of me!" he sneered. The Shadow sighed before manifesting himself on the sink.

"I meant what I said. I am your shadow. All of the knights have one ya know." the shadow informed him.

"Knights? I'm not sure if you noticed but I'm not exactly wearing a suit of armor or holding a sword now am I?" however right at that moment, a black sword tip was pointed at his nose. He glared at the shadow wielding it.

"Not yet anyway. You just need to make one. Its not that hard." the shadow teased. Marco grew furious and swatted the sword out of the way. He went to grab the shadows neck but his hand passed right through him. Marco heard it laughing inside his head.

If you want some answers, then you better come ask me!

Marco was steaming and was about to punch a hole in the wall before he heard knocking.

"Marco? Is everything ok?" Star asked from the other side.

"Yeah, yeah everything's fine. I'll be out in a sec." he told her. He looked down at his hand and saw that it had a dark aura around it. He clentched his hand and the aura dispersed. He opened his bathroom door and saw Star waiting there.

"So where are we going today?" Star asked. Normally, if they didn't go to school, they would just stay home and watch tv and eat snacks. But Marco had told her that they were going somewhere to eat.

"We are going to eat at multiple places. It occured to me that even though you've been on Earth for a while you still haven't experienced the boy that is fastfood resturants. So today we are going to the best fast food resteraunts in Echo Creek." Marco declared. Star clapped her hands in excitement. She heard about places like these and also heard that they have some of the best food in the world. Her mouth watered at the thought.

"Come on let's get going Star!" Marco said as he grabbed her wrist and ran downstairs. However, right before they reached the bottom, they heard an anchorwomans voice.

"And in other news, a young man named Lars was found beaten and unconcious in Echo Creek High school's gym today. When investigated, the man said that he didn't remember what happened the previous night. What he did remember is that he was beaten by a another person with a red hoodie. We also have reason to believe this was torture as a chair and a rope were discovered as well. Police are now furthering investigation but if you have any information on who this assailant is, please contact the police. I'm Shandra Jimenez and this has been Echo Creek news."
