"You know Star, I've seen some pretty crazy things hanging out with you, but this is insane!" Marco cried out as he cut the tentacle trying to grab him. There was a hole in the middle of the floor that had tentacles sprouting out of it. Star blasted another one away and sighed.
"I told you before, this wand is a little wonky! It's not my fault it misinterprets what it's told." she said. The tentacles kept coming as the hole widened to reveal a large octopus in the center. It snagged Marco and Star's ankles and turned them upside down. Star had to drop her wand so she could cover up while Marco was trying to find a sensitive spot for the octopus to chop. He looked up momentarily and saw that the octopus was eyeing Star with a strange glint in its eyes. Almost like...
"Oh heck no! You are not doing that to her!" Marco yelled. His eyes turned red and his sword appeared in his hands. He chopped off the tentacle holding him and the rest that tried to stop him as he ran towards octopus' head. He jumped and plunged his sword in the head, causing the octopus to scream. He plunged it deeper as the octopus fell back into the hole. Marco jumped off and left his sword in the beast.
"Star now!" he told her. She concetrated and sealed the hole with the octopus in it. After it disappeared, the two collapsed. And this is how that started thier morning.
"Star, how about we get some cereal instead?" Marco asked.
"Yeah, sounds good." Star responded.
At school...
Marco and Star walked through the doors of the school and were surprised. Because in front of them was a scene that looked all to familiar.
"Now Francis, I'm gonna asked nicely. Where. Is. My. Lunch money!?" Lars asked.
"I-I said I didn't have it because I'm not bringing you anymore!" Francis said, standing up for himself for once. Lars growled and cracked his knuckles. Francis closed his eyes and braced for impact. But it never came...
"Lars, Lars, Lars. Don't you ever learn?" Marco asked. He was holding Lars' fist and proceeded to crush it. Lars cried out in agony but didn't stop. "What? Can't take the pain you dish out?"
"A-argh! Please l-let me go! I w-won't do it again I s-swear!" Lars cried out. He was on the floor trying to pry his hand from Marco.
"Yeah, you won't do it again. Because this time, I'm not gonna let you-" Marco felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around. He saw Star with a scared expression on her face. He looked at her and back to Lars. He sighed and let Lars go, leaving him to whimper in pain. Marco pulled his hood over his head and walked towards class with Star on his trail.
In class...
Marco was chewing his pencil in class trying to pay attention when a random paper swan landed in front of him. He looked at it before looking at Angel who was taking notes. He sighed and opened it to see what it said.
We need to talk.
ALONE.
Meet me after school near the front. And don't let Star come either.Huh? ALONE? Why would she want to talk me? And why would she want me to come alone? Marco thought to himself. He folded the note and put it in his back pocket for later. He didn't notice however that Star was looking over his shoulder and read the note as well. And after last time, she wasn't gonna let Marco go alone. The bell rang and released the students to go to lunch. However Marco was stopped.
