"So Star, please explain to me why Jack and Janna are all busted up and you're perfectly fine, cuz quite frankly I'm confused." Marco asked of her. Jack was now laying on the couch and Janna was asleep at the kitchen table. His parents were of course unfazed seeing them here. They basically felt like they had gotten 3 more transfer students even though they all had their own houses and/or parents.

"Well you see, it all started after you had to take care of your 'business'." Star air quoted as she still felt a little miffed about being shoved out of her room.

Earlier

Star sat outside her room and pouted. She tried listening in on what Marco was doing but to no avail. She sighed as she made her way downstairs. However when she arrived, she seemed to have come at an unfortunate time as two of her friends were at each other's throats.

"You must be off your rocker if you think I'm going to allow this!" Angel yelled angrily. Her and Janna were having an intense staredown as Jack stood between the two girls trying to calm them both down but to no avail.

"Girls girls! Can't we talk about this in a more civilized-?"

"NO!" They both yelled at Jack.

"Yeah...I thought so..." he said dejectedly. Star decided to intervene before things went from bad to worse.

"Guys, what's going on? Why are you two arguing with each other?" Star asked, gaining everyone's attention. The two girls looked over to Star with fire still in their eyes while Jack looked beyond grateful Star was here to help.

"Well if you must know, Janna here is planning on doing something...'frowned upon' with Jack. And I will not stand for it!" Angel told her while Janna scoffed. Star noticed Angel started slipping back into an English accent like how she used to talk.

"You got it all wrong blondie! I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend, I just wanna go train with him!" Janna shouted at her. Angel's face grew red with anger and embarrassment.

"For the last time, he's not my boyfriend! And how do I know that your 'training' won't just be you fooling around with him?" Angel got more up close to Janna and looked her dead in the eye.

"Why won't you just trust me blondie? I'm not trying to screw us over, I just wanted to help!" Janna questioned with anger.

"Because this wouldn't be the first time you lied to our faces Janna! Need I remind you of the scars you put on everyone's bodies!? Do I have to show that giant gash on Jack's torso!? Do I have to show you where you impaled me!? Or maybe I should start calling you Dusk again to jog your memory huh!?"

....

Silence.

Utter silence.

No one had anything to say. Everyone knew what was said brought up some unpleasant memories for them all, but Janna was the one most affected by them. Because she had caused all of those bad memories. Even if the one involving Jack wasn't entirely her fault, she knew it was true that she had intentionally hurt the others of her own accord.

Star turned to Janna with a worried look in eyes. Janna just looked to the floor in sadness. Star could even see the tiniest of tears start to form but Janna blinked and they went away. She just turned and briskly walked outside and slammed the door behind her.
