For the third time, Isaiah looks at me through the corner of his eye. I force a smile, tired of this though he was absolutely adorable. He blushes, turning back and looking at his paper. I shake my head, looking down at my paper as well.
It may be hard to tell that I have a crush on him, which is good. But it's only because I'm pretty sure he has a girlfriend.
It feels as if he should've told me or somehow just know that he can't get a girlfriend - the crazy thoughts of a crushing girl.
I sigh, wrung out of my thoughts as the bell rings. I shove my papers in my folder, closing it and stacking it neatly on my other folders and binder.
He gets up too, walking the opposite way, away from the exit.. and right to her. I almost growl, suppressing it until I get in the hallway amongst the other people I really don't care about.
x
I try not to let it get to me as I shove my stuff in my backpack. But, it does - as much as I don't want it to.
He seems so shy... Yet, he can talk to her? Is she more approachable? Am I not approachable? Do I look mean? I smile at him all the time, even when I'm not in the mood to.. People say I have a pretty smile.
Were they just lying to me?
Did they say that out of pity?
I sigh, closing my backpack and getting my jacket out of my locker. I put my bag down, swinging my jacket behind me and putting my arms in. I shrug it up, adjusting it and grab my backpack, putting one strap on my shoulder. Turning my head, I see Isaiah, walking towards me.
He's with ... her.
I mentally roll my eyes as turn away, ready to walk out this hellhole. I mean school. I start walking when I hear fast paced footsteps behind me.
"Y/N! Wait up!" He jogs up next to me, the other girl out of sight. I look behind my shoulder, expecting to see her. I look back and see her, jogging ahead of us on the other side of the hallway. She smiles politely at Isaiah, waving and mouthing the words, "Good luck."
I frown, utterly confused. I look to Isaiah as we walk, his cheeks reddening.
"So, Y/N, I was wondering... Do you have any plans this Friday -- I mean, tomorrow?" He blushes harder, his eyes adverting from mine for a moment.
I laugh softly, shaking my head. I find myself blushing profusely as I answer, amazed that I'm having this moment.
"No, not that I know of. I mean, my parents never tell me anything until last minute," I nervously giggle, playing with the adjustment straps on my backpack.
He sighs in what sounds like relief, smiling brightly as his blush seems to fade. He pushes the front doors open, as I push open the other side. I smile back as we walk out into the sunny yet chilly outside.
"Oh, well maybe.. If you want, we could go see a movie? Or something..? I don't know.. It's whatever you want. If you even want to go..." He blabbers, blushing immensely as his eyes look away from mine.
I laugh, amused by his shyness, "Yes, I'll go to the movies with you."
We stop before the buses, having to part our separate ways soon. I hear the roar of the buses as they come to life.
He begins to hurry up, my stomach fluttering as I get anxious, not wanting to miss the bus. It'd be pathetic since we're right here.
"I know this is gonna sound creepy but I have the school's directory and I could call you on the house phone about it, later today?" He rushes, his blush fading once more.
"Yeah, sure. Thanks Isaiah. I better go, it'd be stupid to miss the bus if it's right in front of us." I smile and kiss his cheek, waving as I hurry off to get on the bus.
I look back to see his reaction, a bright smile and a blush. I giggle, stepping onto the bus and sitting in my seat with a content sigh.
