Destination II || [SHORT]

I drum my thumbs on my lap as I listen to [favorite music artist], looking out the window. I have no idea where we are or where we're going but we're already going. I don't know how I ended up trusting him with my life basically but here I am.

There's a backseat stocked with just junk food and snacks, water bottles and juice boxes included. Our things were in the trunk and I had my backpack up in the front seat with me.

I sipped on my promised Starbucks frappuccino, admiring the night sky. I noticed that the stars were illuminating like never before, glowing with the moon. We had to be somewhere out the country side of whatever state we were in. There was no light pollution. 

In fact, there was nothing. For miles and miles. We had past farms that were acres away from the road but that was about it.

What if I have to pee? 

"There's an amusement park somewhere on the other side of that forest, back in town." He said, turning his head to look at me for a moment.

"And? Are we going?" I gasped, getting my hopes up for a moment.

"Too far out the way. But, they're supposed to have a fireworks display tonight. I was hoping we could watch. Maybe pull over and relax." 

"Oh, I love fireworks." I grin, reaching over to hold his hand gently.

It's really short but I haven't updated in forever so, here you guys go! Life's been hectic this summer so we'll see when I have time to come around.
