14 years later: the date is November 18th, 2013. Just that past summer, Jack had turned 14 years old. He had a pretty chill party with his best friend Tim, Tim's girlfriend, Liza, and his girlfriend, Anna. It was a boring Monday. Nothing to celebrate about.
5:30 AM. An alarm goes off. A tired Jack Miller peers up from under his pillow to look at his alarm clock. With a quick dash of his arm, he hit the off button. He slowly crawled out of his bed and into the bathroom where he took his shower. After that, he ate breakfast and got ready for school. He never saw his dad in the morning, as he was a surgeon, and stayed at the hospital all night.
Every morning, his bus stop had two other people. Two seniors, which slightly threatened jacked as he was only in the 9th grade. The first one was a stuck up rich kid named Jared, and the other was a sort of strange girl, named Kaley. She never spoke to anyone.
Jack hated the wait for the bus. But today, there would be something that would make him hate it a little bit more. While waiting, he noticed something in the woods across the street. He saw, through the thick brush, a boy. He was wearing a bleach white hoodie. Had had his hands in his pocket, with his hood up over his head. He was looking directly down. He had black skinny jeans and white converse on, much like jacks blue ones. He looked at hm for a while. Soon, the boy slightly looked up. All he saw was his bright red lips. Wait? Bright red? Yes. They were bright red. And he had cuts that lead from his mouth to his ears. It made him look like he was always smiling. But just before the boy revealed his whole face, the bus got in the way. Jack was so focused on him, he didn't notice the bus coming down the street. When he got on and sat in his seat, he looked out the window. The boy was gone.
For the rest of the day, Jack couldn't get the image of that......that smile on the boy's face out of his head. It creeped him out. It scared him. No, it petrified him to his core. On his way into school, he was so deep in thought, he was startled by Tim."Sup, Jack?" Tim said."Jesus!" Jack yelled. Tim gave him a weird look."You okay, dude?" He began."I watched you get off the bus, you haven't blinked at all." Jack looked at him."Yeah, sorry. Just a rough morning." Jack replied.
They were greeted by their friend Alex, and her girlfriend, Sara. They were holding hands."Hey guys." They said. Jack want in the mood. Tim stayed behind and talked, but Jack went on. He just couldn't stop thinking about that.........smile.
